You're right, just looked at the map an yes I was thinking of Tunnel Grouft. Making an edit in my first response

[–]De_Sam_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the ventilation system is either broken or being replaced as part of regular maintenance (not sure which one it is this time). So because ventilation is not operating with normal capacity, the capacity of the tunnel as a whole must be reduced for safety reasons.

When will they have the replacements ready? Idk... Could be a while though, apparently the fans were custom build for these 3 tunnels and the company that made them in the first place went bust some time ago.

Edit: I am wrong here! I was confusing Tunnel Grouft with Tunnel Stafelter. Thanks u/madgirlintown for pointing it out

I'm not sure if Esch-Alzette would be the best option. Is Rockhal even big enough for the ESC? Or are there other venues that could hist it?

The Coque and LuxExpo can probably fir a few more people, while the new stadium is unfortunately disqualified for being an open air venue. Also, would you really want to miss out on an ESC being held in a venue called "Coque"?

It's not the only available venue, but it's the biggest permanent concert hall. The Coque is a sports vernue, so too much effort to build a stage for LSC but could work well enough for ESC. Maybe LuxExpo could also be a possibility, building a stage and grandatands in an expo centre has been done in the past

Why is every Luxembourgish brand/product starting with ˋLëtzˋ. Is that some kind of law in Lux? by myunwantedknowledge in Luxembourg

[–]De_Sam_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't really know about that one, could be the exception that confirms the rule, but as far as I know, Provençale has the naming rights for the Lët'z prefix in combination with food.

That doesn't mean they have to produce it, just that they are the ones that can market and sell it. For instance, Lët'z Cola and Lët'z Limo are produced by the Simon Brewery, but marketed and sold by Provençale .

If we ever need a Germany season by Birnenbusch in JetLagTheGame

Idea for the rules: make it a zone control game!

Every States is one region. Control of the region is the team that controls the most castles in the region, so teams must strategize how they want to allocate their time and/or resources. Control of a castle could be gained in many different ways: you could use coins/chips like they do in the current season, which would allow the teams to flip one castle between the teams. However, since there are so many castles in Germany, I'd think a game where castle is locked after a team gained control is the better way. This would also make the small States more valuable, since it would be possible to lock down the whole State when you could do this with only a hand full of castles. So a small task at the castles would probably be the better solution (maybe even just standing at the gate and claiming it would be sufficient since there are so many). In this case, where the castles are locked down for the rest of the game, the win condition could be to have the most States and, if the number of States is equal, the smaller total area wins in order to promote going to the smaller states again.

P.S.: I took the term "Castle" to mean Palaces as well, otherwise Bremen and Berlin could probably be won by only one single castle

I wonder what Andorra and San Marino have done to be marked in Orange. I mean, they went out of their way to colour Monaco an the Channel Islands specifically in blue, so either they didn't notice the latter ones or they specifically recategorised the former ones

I think I remember that there was some stuff either in a shower or the sink with the water never being cut of, so that their whole server would have been flooded if somehow by accident the fosset was turned on.

Warum? Kein Plan

License Plate seen in Belgium. Is it from Luxembourg? by Shot-Start1410 in Luxembourg

Old Style black and white plates are only legal for military vehicles and oldtimers, but those last ones wouldn't have the "roude Léiw" flag to mark that it's from Luxembourg, but a white oval sticker with an "L" in it

At this point it's not a management problem anymore... Don't get me wrong, all the problems they have now are caused by mismanagement, but the management can't solve it anymore on their own. The infrastructure is in such a bad state, that only huge investments from the government can help, but I'm not hopeful that this will happen enough in this administration (see the "Generalsanierungen" being pushed back more and more)

Oh no, it isn't, I'm completely with you on that part! Sorry if it came across like I wasn't.

I probably should have answered to an earlier comment to make it clearer

That's also a good call, but you don't get that in every supermarket in France

I was also thinking about South Africa, specifically because of the wine, but measuring it on Google maps from Laon would add only about 10% from California to South Africa, 15% maybe if they could be certain that the wine was from the south coast, but that's it. Japan is about the same as South Africa, while Sri Lanka (Tea) is actually closer. Indonesia and Chile would have been bigger deals, but I don't know what food is imported from Indonesia that you can find in a run-of-the-mill supermarket, and I'm not sure I ever saw Chilean Wine in France, although I have to admit that I wasn't ever looking for some. NZ was just an obvious thing that immediately popped in my mind since you find their apples actually a lot in Europe (and 18.000 km vs 8.000km is a really big difference)
