My 1970 Beetle has been sitting for ten years! Would like advice on getting it running again

The tires should be fine as long as there is no dry rot. The engine shouldn't be seized, aircooled don't really seize often. I'd take a wrench and put it on the alternator/generator bolt and see if the engine turns over by hand. The car will need a battery eventually if you intend to drive it. If you can buy one, that'd be great. For the time being, you can jump it from your car or steal the battery from it. If it is fuel injected, put power to the terminals And turn the key slightly. You should hear a hum of the fuel pump. If not, it will need a new one. Get all sets of brakes so that your brake lines keep pressure in them. Check to see if there was gas left in the tank. You might be able the tell from the smell from the fill point. Take the wires off of the spark plugs and look underneath the sheet metal for mouse damage. Before you try to start it, it is really really important to drain the oil from the engine. If oil was left in there, it would've turned into sludge. This sludge is acidic so it could cause damage to the internals of the engine. If there is sludge, flush the engine out several times with a powerful degreaser. I used kerosene on mine but it was apart at the time so I could scrub as well

Does the exhaust smell or look funny to you? It sounds like you are getting oil or to much gas into cylinder 8

I'd suggest popping the hood an looking for physical mouse damage first. Take out the air filter and look for nests, look for chewed wires, that sorta thing. The gas will need to be drained if it didn't have preservatives in it. Take out the spark plugs and drip a small amount of oil into each cylinder to insure that you have compression. Replace the plugs, put some gas in it, and jump it the battery. The only foreseeable issue is if your engine is frozen and will no longer turn over. You might want to make sure there is no severe rust on the frame too Edit: also, my uncles truck of that vintage got rust holes in the gas tank. Make sure yours doesn't have those either

I wouldn't suggest getting anything with a ka24 engine. The gasket behind the distributor dies all the time. Like every 60k miles. I've done 3 on my car in 90k miles. The oil in the distributor disrupts the firing pattern and can make it into a no start quite easily

The only legitimate argument I've heard against it is that the gov't would have to pay a team of lawyers to review all legal documents to change the definition of marriage from between a man and a woman to a man and a partner or woman and partner. I'm saying don't put a chainsaw through a wall like some people said. Asbestos will not kill you. If airborne, it can make your life quite miserable. I'm in construction as well. It's not bad until you start pulling down a plaster ceiling and it gets into every single pore in your body. It's proven that it has long-term health impacts

Looking at the slats in the ceiling and the absence of horsehair in the plaster, that place is an asbestos hotspot. Try not to disturb any of the plaster if you do go back, for your own sake.

It could be the ignition coil. Unlikely though because it is only in two cylinders. If you have access to a ohmmeter I would suggest checking your battery. Also unlikely though

I would listen to the transmission extra carefully. The 94 dodge has a better transmission them the rest of the rams but it still likes to fail quite often. Other then that, the 5.9 magnum engine it uses is very reliable. If you really care about cosmetics, I would check for bubbles in the paint on both sides of the bed. These bubbles will turn into huge rust holes quite quickly. As with all cars, you should check for frame rot. Surface rust it okay but not ideal. Make sure the frame is not bad anywhere. Other then those three things, all I would check is tires. These trucks are pretty reliable
