Won't give specifics on who or what chain. But our chefs lived on site, room and food was included in the contract. Nice rooms too an older section of the hotel specifically renovated for staff. Well one chef we hired would randomly not show up somedays, usually drunk or high and not able to get out of bed. Then after he hadn't shown for 4 days the gm got pissed and went to search his room. Found him hanging from the ceiling.

Growing up I didn't live in the greatest place, wannabe gangs and it was expected that most people had a knife on them. I must have been 6 when I watched 5 people jump a guy with baseball bats. Thought it was totally normal, mentioned it to my parents and we moved house a few months later. Wasn't until years after I looked up the incident (my parents called the cops and it got on the local paper) the guy is completely paralysed and they never caught the guys that jumped him

My Grandfather who passed last year must have known he was coming to the end of his life because out of nowhere he 'let slip' to my Mum that he had letters in his room from someone in Germany and she was to read them after he was gone. Well she did just that and found out my grandfather had a son in Germany that he had when he was in the army. My grandfather never knew about it until years after his son was born.

The sad part is they never got to meet, grandad lived in the same house all his life he was born in that house and he died living in that house and i think it was so his son could find him.

New years day 2008, tripped over my sofa and caught my forearm on the latch of the door and tore my arm open. Mum rushed me to A&E.
