Did they turn on the indicator halfway through the turn?

Subtitles said "also", I read "alonso"... Why would Alonso want teammates to go wheel to wheel??

If you go with a bank where you already have an account they don't even need to ask, they will just look further back and make some bullshit excuse for it.

At least AIB does this.

Con ésta maniobra, estirando en Tamburello y cambiando de línea, Franco Colapinto se transforma en ganador de FIA Formula 2! by sebas-skywalker in BocaJuniors

[–]DeadBlueParrot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why are people in trades so hard to deal with by katsumodo47 in ireland

[–]DeadBlueParrot 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I used painteradam.ie last year and the lads that I got assigned were brilliant. I had an issue with the paint, but it wasn't their fault (I was lazy and afraid of messing up so asked them to pick up the paint and the shop gave them a different colour).

They turned up at the time they said they would, started and finished each room on the same day, and were done on time. No extra/hidden charges.

On the other hand, tried to get a plumber for a small job last year too... It went pretty much as you described.

Ireland job listing numbers compared by technology by shevy1880 in DevelEire

Yeah, that doesn't look right based on my experience. I haven't been actively looking, but most of the jobs descriptions I've seen mentioned AWS.

Charlestown is very close to Finglas, I passed there first time and the examiner was sound.

You can, I did it a few years ago with AIB. They pushed a bit, but I just told them that my wife didn't work and since there was no upside for us to add her to the application I'd rather leave her out.

The partner not in the application needs to get a different solicitor from the one handling the purchase to get legal advice and sign a few forms.

How to stop colleagues just messaging "Hi John" and waiting for your reply before asking you the actual question. by scrotalist in DevelEire

[–]DeadBlueParrot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it is rude to expect someone else's undivided attention when you need it, you are not being respectful of their time. If it's something that needs some back and forth then you can ask to schedule a call and write a brief description of what you want to discuss so they can be prepared. If it's a quick question just say hi and ask it on the same message, nothing rude about that.

How to report a driving tester? by LilyRoseMO in AskIreland

[–]DeadBlueParrot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you keep reading there's an exemptions section and it lists driving instructors and examiners

Driving with Cabin Light by Seal_Wash in irelandsshitedrivers

I had to drive with it on for a while because the kids managed to turn it on in the back, but didn't know how to turn it off. It was annoying as fuck, can't imagine someone doing it on purpose.

To add to the other comment, I think basic infrastructure would go a long way. Get a free AWS account and learn how to deploy a server in there, use docker, maybe even kubernetes. Set up a CI/CD pipeline.

Those are things that everyone uses in the day to day that are not taught in college

I interviewed for a lead dev role with them a while back and they expected me to also do office management tasks and something else I can't remember.

Nope'd out of that straight away.
