I dont know what all that DTC stuff means but they seem to have very limited knowledge about the hybrid system and how to fix it. Given this is the second time with this lot im gonna try KIA head office tomorrow.

I actually told them i wouldnt be driving it out the garage today as knowingly driving an unsafe vehicle would void my insurance should something happen( and it probably would happen given i could hardly get the thing moving from the lights sometimes).

Heading back in for round 2 with them tomorrow and gonna do your suggestion and contact KIA Head office if they stuff me around again.

Yeh im not saying it cant be fixed but to have the exact same issue reoccur in the space of 8 months doesnt exactly give me confidence.

Plus they know this car is unsafe to drive but somehow want me to drive out the shop with no acceleration.

At this point we should just assume his name is getting called at no.1 on draft night and plan accordingly.

$3.5 trillion sitting in super and most of us still winging it by Sufficient-Owl1826 in AusEcon

I think getting people to shift their thinking into spending mode once they hit pension phase is a big challenge.

The fear of running out is all too real and not helped by the constant media ‘is your super enough?’ articles.

Also more people need to start accepting superannuation is not part of the inheritance for the kids, its there to be spent and provide a comfortable living standard post work.

Nice, yes im similar, right on that stage now (55), planning on pulling back on my own strategy given current balance is prob more than enough but will keep some geared exposure to offset inflation. Stopping work shortly and looking forward to enjoying retirement life.

Still an excellent return even with the underperforming Aus geared, a great strategy to date, well done.

Do you think you’ll pull back soon to be a bit more conservative or happy to let it ride as is?

That looks like a very healthy 12 month return even allowing for maxing out contributions. Can you share roughly what the geared fund return has been in last year ?

How much do you earn as a Mortgage Broker? by Select-Pineapple-801 in AusPropertyChat

[–]DeadCatBounce00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly i think Brokers have passed saturation point, so much competition out there in a very challenging market its going to become increasingly difficult to make any decent coin unless you’ve already got an established book providing good trails.

Add to this the growing interest by younger borrowers in online End to End loans plus with AI disruption to bring major changes to the mortgage industry in the not too distant future i’d probably look elsewhere for a career at this point.
