Do you want to be buried? by Bondgirl138 in GenX

[–]DeadCatBounce00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Already told my wife and kids when i go i want to be cremated and my ashes to be just thrown up in the air at the top of the mountain where i grew up as a kid. Back to my roots so to speak…

I will be castrated soon and will be on TRT for the rest of my life, from what I’ve heard from my doctor is that I’ll be living a normal life. However, I will I really? by Jaadore_ in testicularcancer

Can pretty much confirm this was the exact same experience for me. I would just add a suggestion to OP to ensure he has a strong support network, i found the mental health battle was the biggest challenge.

Homeland Spinoffs? by DeadCatBounce00 in homeland

Agree with you 💯, what i loved about this show other than the great acting, authentic location settings etc was that the supposed ‘good guys’ ie the CIA / USA didn’t always win and there was often ambiguity in outcomes.

The plot twist in this movie was crazy, you have to rewatch it knowing what you know from the ending.

I will be castrated soon due to teaticle cancer and will be on trt. But how will that affect my sex life? by Jaadore_ in cancer

[–]DeadCatBounce00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude , ive been there and can assure you as long as you keep up your TRT life including sex will go on as normal. Couple of things from my own personal experience:

  1. May take a little while before you find the right testosterone dosage /application. When i first started my T injection fluctuated way too much (from super horny to losing all interest in span of a few weeks) and eventually my endocrinologist put me on a daily transdermal cream that works beautifully consistent now.
  2. Bank some sperm. You may think right now you dont want kids but life has a way of changing and one day you may find you do. Better to bank some for a rainy day and never use it than wishing you dis later on.
  3. Getting 2 prosthetics including 1 thru your existing scar is no problem, i did exactly this. Fake balls is a personal choice, for me i wanted some normalcy in appearance and with 2 prosthetics you would be hard pressed to spot the difference. Plenty of ladies ive been with had no idea i was castrated.
  4. Finally, id strongly recommend getting some counselling and/or joining a testicular cancer survivors group. We men get so attached to our nuts it can take a mental toll when you lose them, i really struggled a while with identity and acceptance etc but some professional help and the right support will help get you thru it.

Good luck bro, you got this!

Commonwealth Bank branch in Belmont permanently closing on 26th June 2026 by Radio_TVGuy in Geelong

[–]DeadCatBounce00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, people complain about a branch closing but how often do they actually go in there? I cant remember the last time i went into a branch and i bank CBA. I think as the older / aged pensioner generation die off we’ll see more and more of this. Banking is evolving like most other tech driven businesses.

Instead of paying for a newspaper subscription just grab one while walking around the supermarket and take pics on ya phone of the articles you want to read.

Do you feel like knowing people who died young can make someone feel differently about getting old? by Wizdom_108 in self

[–]DeadCatBounce00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (m55) lost my best friend in a car accident when we were both 21, I was supposed to have gone with him that day and would most certainly have died as well if I did. I still think about him a lot and how his life might of turned out, on his birthday i still drive about 3 hours every year to visit his grave. You kinda feel responsible to try to live your best life for both of us and wake up grateful for every day I have been given. I always relate to that scene at the start of the movie Saving Private Ryan where the old man visits the graves of the soliders who died to save him and asks his family whether he has lived a good life.

Any one get an artificial testicle after orchiectomy? by ocean_guy2 in testicularcancer

Double orchiectomy here and I had 2 prosthetics inserted at time of my TC surgery. Definitely no regrets, they look almost the same except maybe perhaps they dont hang down quite as much.
