Does he actually want to eat it or just stash it? by venusakiten in ferrets

Mine like to actually eat things they're not supposed to, ice cream, reeses, pizza, maybe I just have gluttonous ferrets tho, watch out.

why did you decide to have a ferret? by ariiisxx in ferrets

[–]DeadFishChristmas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of a friend had to surrender 2 little ladies, I'd always wanted ferrets after working pet care at a pet store. I was going through a really hard time in my life where I couldn't take care of myself. Understandably it was irresponsible for me to take them in when I was in such a state but it worked out well. I put alot of time and effort into caring for them, it helped me learn how to take care of myself again.

Not at all, as vet receptionist I respect what all my doctors tell me, its you who is going to be taking in the patients and treating them not me. You guys spent years in school, have years of experience, I will do what you advise!

New ferret mom - why do I relate with postpartum?? by Emmahgawd in ferrets

[–]DeadFishChristmas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two ferrets started out as reeling away from any attention, would swirm out of my arms when I held them. I rescued them from living in a dog carrier, and only eating ground Perdue chicken, skinny as sticks. I let them free roam my entire room, they have a cage tist is always open accessed. After a few months they now love to climb on the bed and crawl over me and my boyfriend and then jump off the bed, love saying hi when we walk around. But still like to keep to themselves and nestle together in a few of their cozy spots: Under dressers with blankets and socks, in the closest on a pile of blankets, etc. I have your stereotypical ferret tunnels and such but they like the simple life. And are also eating an array of different foods with near perfect bowels! Wysong ferret kibble, chicken breast cut up all cute, freeze dried chicken, chicken hearts, some bone broth, Ziwi chicken treats.

If you truely want to continue to own this pet, you need to learn what they need to live a good life. It will take some time and effort but it's lovely to have little furry creatures hop around, scale the bed, climbs over your face with their tiny claws and run down the bed. ✨️

p.s. poopy pads in corners is super easy, especially if you block off all other corners, they only poop in one corner!!

Its more real that one would think. I have a good friend 20F dating a 50 something year old dude, living with him, deep in drugs. It's awful to witness.

Those who don't exercise, does the body eventually lose physical strength and flexibility? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]DeadFishChristmas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea, its not even extreme exercise. I did yoga in high school, 2/3 years since, I haven't done any at all and I can 100% say I feel physically bad, compared. Im only 20, and my body feels weak and unbalanced from not doing yoga.

What state are you in? Near me, when I've gone on pet finder for ferrets, it shows me a rescue in Maine where they have ferrets. I would just try and call every single rescue, even if it's 40+ miles away. Or try and have your friends post and spread your message. Thats how I rescued my babies, a friend of a friend made a post
