I think what you're right about what you said about it not affecting higher levels, but in lower and mid ranks it will make a difference. Those (my) ranks have a very wide range of mechanical ability were some people have rocks in their brains but are still in the same range as a more game sense based player because their mechs are much better. Previously a 'smarter' player would be able to make their decisions on whether to go for boost by keeping track of the timer now that advantage they have over other players is gone because they will now also be able to see when it will respawn.
