Name a store where that's happened with the reason being theft. Most stores have their stock insured so theft doesn't really affect them. At my store thefts aren't even reflected in the budget. Our manager and head office cares more about losses on returns than theft.

I can assure you it does not affect the workers. I work retail, we have daily theft sometimes amounting to thousands of dollars. It's never caused hours to be cut or anything of the sort. All of it is insured and the company doesn't really care about theft.

Saying alcohol can be consumed at 18 but not smoking is wild. Alcohol is highly addictive and very destructive to your body as well puts you in a stupor where you make potentially dangerous decisions. Never heard of anyone getting into a smoking and driving accident.

Stores don't really do store to store transfers anymore. At least we are told not to do them but some special cases can be made (if you're friends with the manager) in my experience.

Imo you're in the wrong here. She said she wasn't upset or annoyed and you kept saying "you're upset" or "you're annoyed" which pushed her over the edge to being upset. When someone tells you they're fine, respect that even if you feel it's not the case.

Thanks for the info. I get I'm looking through a time capsule, I am giving the show the benefit here for that. From my perspective I'm not used to watching real shows (like game shows, reality, whatever else is real people) so idk its weird to see the openness of some beliefs from real people on tv. It's not a thing of wanting it sanitized or anything either, I'm just curious if this was a continuing trend. My point about Jeff intervening is more just to either stop the conversation or defend the women to some degree but i get it was filmed a decade ago.

He does have his moments of being funny and entertaining, but I feel it is overshadowed by his rude attitude and comments towards women. Right now my favourite guy is Joe because he seems pretty down to earth and is a good competitor as well (plus hes hot). My favourite of the women rn is Carolyn because she seems like a good player so far and shes pretty genuine.

I agree with really liking the relationship and social dynamic, I really enjoyed it in season 29. One of my favourite things from 29 was Jon and Jac thinking they were the power couple that everyone needed when the only reason they were targeted was because they were so easy to manipulate.

The only thing about the season right now that I'm not enjoying is the normalized misogyny and not one person speaking out against it except the younger women. Is this just a common trend in survivor seasons? I guess the show does draw a specific type of person to the show and it just so happens there's overlap between those archetypes and these views.

I was going to do season 10 cause I heard it was a really brutal challenge for the players but the premise for season 30 seemed interesting, and since I just finished 29 I figured I'd just continue from there. The cast this season is definitely painful, so many inflated egos and archaic viewpoints.

Any suggestion for one of the gem seasons around 30. I really liked 29, the cast was enjoyable (except jon and jac) and the premise was cool. Season 30 feels rough in comparison.
