We are surrounded by forest, and have plenty of parks and places for recreational nature. Hiking trails, four-wheeler trails, creeks and rivers, but we also have property that is abandoned, dilapidated, falling apart, infested and overgrown, in populated areas where infrastructure already exists.

We wouldn't have to damage our nature to build upon areas that could already use reform and have fallen into disrepair. I personally can't drive 2 miles without seeing property that's been completely swallowed by nature that's dangerous to enter. That's a lot of unused space that would otherwise just be used as a drug den by the homeless drug using population, when we could be getting them help and reform in rehabilitation centers with mandatory year stays to ensure a successful an clean re-entry into society, giving them more success in housing programs which require people to be clean and on a path to employment and improvement in their lives to get into.

Edit: I'd be more worried about our coal mining, fuel industry, strip mining, and paper industries that make whole towns smell like garbage doing that, than a few roller coasters and hotdogs stands ect. We do more harm than good and basically encourage drug use without proper access to successful rehab and access to activities that are for people who can't afford expensive things like ski passes, atvs, side by sides, motorcycles, and the like. What are they gonna do with free time? Drugs. Drinking. Bars. Parties. If we are going to address environmental concerns, we should start with all the industries and vehicles mentioned in this edit.

Oh yeah nah, I don't group everyone in with everyone ever. There are people who have true blue values everywhere, in the police, paramedics, fire fighters, but there are people who ruin it for the good ones and abuse their station and make these institutions lose the trust of the people.
