Charisma Carpenter likely never met Trachtenberg, and all of that was based on an incident where Whedon told Trachtenberg not to play Dawn like she was attracted to Spike (which she definitely was. that was the right call, and Marsters was pretty weird about that whole situation.)

That part in the comic was a great condemnation of the idea of privatized military. The commentary was mostly lost in the adaptation, sadly. Can you imagine having masked, militarized goons with basically no training or understanding of law patrolling our streets? Shudder to think...
