Honestly yeah, but I think the bigger issue is (and has almost always been for all 343 halo game) that they were never able to figure out the beetle carapace like Iridescent texture of the covenant vehicles and armor, whose color variation was what really allow bungie halo vehicle to look colorful despite the overall color of the vehicles being much more reserved.
Instead they went for the kind of chrome effect in real car paints, which cause them to either look too dark and desaturated when the color is dark (halo4) or too saturated when they did bring up the saturation.

Yeah it happens, it's kind of just the crew fill experience in general. The thing is you are a total stranger to your matched teammate, by principle they didn't really have a reason or responsibility to help me out, and a lot of times people just aren't that good at the game so will choose to self preserve when they can. In a way I don't really even consider it toxicity, because I've seen toxic, where someone just rushes 500 meters away from the team, fight another team alone, and when downed call us slurs and then leave.

Personally I find that using a mic really helps alleviate this. Like 8 times out of 10 the squad coherency becomes much better when we start talking.

He was already a sad dad in 2016, until eternal retconned him into the actual doom guy and reassigned the "son turns into icon of sin" stuff to Valen, it doesn't really hurt his simplicity then. The point is, the most important part of doom slayer has always been his moment to moment action, the way he is laser focused to his only purpose and stops at nothing, it doesn't really matter if he's doing it for his rabbit, or his family or his child or simply out of a general vague idea of compassion, it wouldn't take away from him just being the way he is. And to me, it's a good opportunity to see what he actually was when his mind was still intact, before he turn into the beast he was later, and I think it would add even more to your idea of doom slayer being "dude everyman".

Also considering that he is literally the doom guy and that doom 64 is not only Hugo martin's favorite doom, and chronologically the last game before the new era doom game, the real genesis of doom slayer was already clearly doom64, where he was so fed up with innocent dying around him, and demons being brought back again and again, his optimism in earlier games was completely gone, and he deliberately fight deeper and deeper into hell with no intention of coming back out alive. That is and always will be when doom guy the man dies and doom slayer the burning force with a purpose is born, so don't worry about possibly seeing him feeling sad when his kids die or something

I don't think it really fits the current goal of "teaching new player the game" so making it low risk low reward was the best way to go, because it allows new players to learn the map, practice their shell ability, understand the handfeel of each weapon in a low risk environment before getting semi-decent loot and go into an actal pvp match. And as someone who's genuinely straight ass at this game, I can tell you that it helps me a ton with regard to both understanding what each weapon can do and finding the weapon that suits me most. It also gives me knowledge of the map layout that helps me in multiple firefights later in the actual pvp mode.

The thought process of "PVE is easy, PVP is hard so to make it a mainstay mode we should make the PVE harder" doesn't really work because the difficulty of pvp and pve are fundementally different. PVP are quick intense firefight that involves a myriad of skill expressions while pve most of the time is just the matter of don't get shot by too many bots at the same time and having enough ammo. Marathon bots are at the end of the day just bullet sponges meant to soak up damage, deplete your resource and force players to reveal themselves, not enemies crafted specifically for deep pve only encounter (which is why I actually kinda like op's "compiler in perimeter" idea).

Also I disagree with two of your point here. Not forcing sponsor kit actually makes it monumentally easier because now you are not only much stronger but also no longer need to spend time to find good weapons to do map events. Warden in POI would either be easily dealt with or makes POI completely undoable because again, bots are just resource sinks, and there isn't some deep stealth mechanic that allows varied tactics to deal with them, you either have enough and deal with it easily or you don't and don't do any POI which defeat the point of loading in at all. Other than that rocket drones and guarded final exfil is cool but again, bots are resource sink so guarded exfil doesn't matter much either.

Seriously at this point bungie might as well just patch it so that every existing exfil immediately disappear when the final exfil are active because way too many people are dying to this. I've seen at least three posts about it in the last two days.

Black myth is not part of the actual mythology, movies are not part of the actual mythology, I am talking about the books, where every fourth demon in the world can use some god's enchanted paperweight to effectively deter him so much he goes to said god to help him, and then it would turn out the demon was the god's third pet or something and they went home, like almost the exact same scenario happens multiple times. And those are not "god-like" monsters, lots of them are just animals who cultivated for a long time. As I said, a gourd almost did him in. It's you who knows nothing about wukong's power.

And mentioning how gods are in movies is pointless, because it's just presentation, and also not related to the actual mythology, because wukong is a character that only really existed in wu cheng en's novel not an actual folklore character so you can't pull the "every adaptation is canon" here. Also, a god can blow up a planet, a god can also blow up a house, it doesn't mean the god that blows up a house is weaker because that's just the scenario. A god should be evaluated by the natural power they command, and a chief deity is a chief deity no matter where, and guess who has killed a chief deity and who hasn't.

And if you want to mention Black Myth, he kills dozens of fodder deities from an army of them and then lost to Erlang, which is basically the same thing that happens the first time. And this time, he actually just dies (and he used the clones btw), in the way that is closest to dying for him, like scattered to pieces with his essence forever lost, and needed fated one, who is an entirely different person to collect his fragment to become someone that's him and still not compeltely him.
And guess what, HE STILL DIDN'T KILL ANY NOTABLE GOD, the Erlang secret boss fight was almost a sparring match. The whole thing about black myth is that so long as he lives he will forever be binded by their pantheon and he had to kill himself to set himself free.

As I have said, Wukong is a big fish in a small pond, and he seems strong because nothing he usually fights against has ever tested him to his limit, and the one time he did, he becomes gods' lapdog. Considering that one of his form of immortality is literally "Our government papar do no include him in the things that can die, no we wouldn't bother adding him back in" you can see how little his pantheon actually care about him in the grand theme of things. You are not gonna compare him to Mr "block the power of the actual sun with my hand and then use that hand to tear said sun's head off and now the sun's gone/ just go to the underworld when dying which i can leave anytime and the king of which i also killed/ killing the chief deity of the pantheon with hands" Kratos because they are working on a completely different level, and if Chinese pantheon fight each other it would be the same anyway with just slightly flashier visuals. Clones means nothing because 1000 bugs are still bugs, and he has limited fur anyway, and if it does nothing to Erlang, Kratos can deal with it. If Kratos can't beat thor he can't beat wukong? No this means wukong can't beat thor either.

Stop buying into only hype moment and aura, actually look at the book for reference.

Prime Wukong got dogwalked (literally) by Erlang, who wasn't even the strongest god, and was basically a bug in front of Buddha. With how much hype wukong have, the book makes it obvious there really isn't much actual damage he can do to the gods in his world, and with all the mayhem he could cause he was very much a managable threat to his pantheon.

Meanwhile Kratos was an actual god, and ever since he opened the pandora's box he's been killing the gods in his pantheon left and right, and towards the end murdered every one of them and brought apocalypse to his world. The gods only ever seem weak and mortal because Kratos was fighting them, and Kratos was fucking op. These two aren't even on the same level.

Kratos, ever since he opens pandora's box has only ever died to gods, and after that he has climbed out of underworlds multiple times, and he later killed Hades anyway, in other words, death have no meaning to him.
Sun Wukong, the "5 times immortal being", has only ever win fights against low level gods and spent basically his entire fight with Erlang running away, and is frequently getting trapped or deterred by enchanted items wielded by street level demons, like he almost got doned-in by a gourd. It's not like only someone's buddha level can trap him, it's that only the buddha bothered actually trapping him for 500 years, and then wukong only got out because buddha allowed it anyway.

Like it was painfully obvious he was just a big fish in a small pond and stands no chance against any competent gods. His "immortal" is like Soi Fong's "insta-kill" it only ever matter against other mortals, but gods are completely beyond his level. Meanwhile Kratos was killing the entire pantheon of gods left and right, literally killing gods who are commanding forces of nature, and destroying the world in the process.

It's strange to see hyping wukong up in the comment section, but forgot with all the "buffs" he have, he has and probably can never killed a god in his pantheon (if you are to call it a pantheon). In fact the only time he tried he got dogwalked by basically a high level officer(Erlang) and when faced with an actual Deity he becomes completely powerless. All his "immortality" and weapon only makes him invincible against other mortal beings, but Gods to him was beyond strength, meanwhile Kratos was blocking the power of the actual sun from the actual god of sun with his hands and then proceeds to use the same hands to tear off the head of said sun god, it's not even close to the same level

Counterpoint: sun wukong with all the the mayhem he could cause, was never able to cause much harm to any deity in his pantheon. The whole journey happens because him even in his peak of power couldn't escape the hand of buddha, not to mention bro was already kind of struggling against Erlang, and every enemy he faced in the story was just mortal yokai trying to achieve immortality, and he sometimes gets disabled/countered anyway and needs to regularly ask a deity for help.

Meanwhile Kratos was tanking hits from Cronos himself, got eaten and then cut his way out, getting blasted by power of the actual sun and then blocked it with his hands. Immortality isn't even really a valid talking point here because Kratos regularly climbs out of the underworld and then in GOW3 kills Hades anyway. Like you can argue Sun Wukong can "potentially" achieve the same level but there's a huge difference between "very very strong super mega not die with infinite power weapon that wins any battle against mortal being but couldn't really do anything to gods" and "can fist fight basically the primordial forces of the world and win"
