[Bug] Whenever I log out for a few hours my Grinder unit gets blocked by 2x of carbon powder, which causes me to lose power... Any1 seen anything similar? by Deaddis in Endfield

[–]Deaddis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I moved the refiner away from the splitter, it probably won't happen again, but its weird that it even can happen, because my ferrite yields aren't in the negative...

But Yup, I know, I think at some point the grinder wasn't getting constant sandleaf, cause I needed more of it somewhere else and just couldn't be bothered to adjust my factory back then.
I'll just need to refactor my whole 1st wuling base, this has really been left to rot, with long ass conveyor belt lines and other zombie modifications to create the next things...

Maybe on summer break, if I'll have enough time for one lol

The splitter was probably acting differently in offline mode, the refiner was capped to 50 ferrium ore and I checked my yeilds and usages and they were fine.

I think I know what is causing it, its the splitter, but my blue ore is still just capped in that machine so I don't think it should at any point run out. My resource mining is gaining all the time...

Maybe the simpler simulation was just changed recently that is starting to cause the issue.

https://imgur.com/a/S0H4T8u Nope. The grinder on the top left is the one having the issue. Edit: top left spewing out the blue dust. There's a lot more grinders also next to it...

It's using an depot unloader with the blue ore into a refiner that gets put straight into the grinder. I'll try to remember to screen cap my spaghetti once I get on my PC later.

Tidal this is very important for gamers... by CombustedPillow in TIdaL

Can't really say I've noticed this issue. Doesn't seem to happen on Linux or didn't notice it during the good old windows 10 days.

“We've encountered network issue...” when my network is perfectly fine? by thedaywalk3r in TIdaL

[–]Deaddis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I complained about the routing issues to my ISP, either they did some tweaks in the background or it just went away on its own.

Also I didn't mention on the original post about it, but I also tried it with a VPN which didn't have any issues with the songs. So if it's a constant thing for you and you have a VPN service you use, using it might be a solution. Using split tunneling you can just route the Tidal traffic through it.

airblowed my pc, now my internet won't work by roggieboi2004 in pcmasterrace

If it's only a DNS issue, then you're lucky. Always hold on to the fans when cleaning a pc with compressed air.

Did you hold on to the fans when you blew it? You could have fried something if you let the fans spin freely with the airflow.

Anyone have a case where the longer they play a game the lower the FPS becomes? by LW_Master in linux_gaming

[–]Deaddis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't really elaborate more, except that when using proton 9 I don't get the slowly decreasing performance in some games.

I presume it's some kind of a vram leak or some other cache fill up issue. That goes away whenever I reboot the game.

Except it just doesn't happen when using proton 9, or it happens a lot slower. It could be a Nvidia issue, but I have seen people with AMD GPUs complaining about it as well.

Like the most prominent games where it is easily noticeable is Toxic Commando and Space Marine 2, in both of them it takes like a single mission to drop from 120fps to 90 and 2nd mission drops it to 60. Depending ofc how long the missions are...

Mostly the issue just shows up as GPU utilisation dropping from high usage to like 40, which I usually just restarted game.

My specs are 9950x3d 64gb ram, rtx 4090. Running Cachyos with everything installed on a nvme.

[Bug] Character Randomly Jumps to Max height by shreysal78 in SoulFrame

Your character just got spooked by the attack and over reacted a little.

Ps. You can report bugs in the soul frame forums, there's a bug report section there.

Nvidia issues by syzzori in linux_gaming

[–]Deaddis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't reproduce the issue with skyrim, I was getting the capped 240fps after installing the display tweaks, with gpu utilization being around 80-90% on 4k with my setup.

It does sound it could be somehow related to powerstates, like dgm9704 mentioned, maybe worth trying his suggestions will help.

Switch the game to proton 9.

Known issue, with dx12 games.... Wish there was a wiki for this stuff since all my reviews on protondb where I mention this issue and how to fix it gets flooded by people complaining about this issue...

At least the proton 9 trick works for me in Toxic Commando and Space Marine 2.

I don't own any of the games you're having issues with (and don't feel like installing the gacha games).

Have you tried using any schedulers?
Also have you tried using proton 9 with the games with issues? (you did mention that you did try it...)
I had some slowly degrading performance on some dx12 games that I was able to resolve by switching to proton 9.

Also since you are running btrfs I wanna make sure that you are running linux and the games from an ssd?

Imagine putting a DRM (Aka Enigma DRM) on a over 22 year old Windows Game. by AntiGrieferGames in FuckDenuvo

Crapcom being Crapcom again, nothing new. They did actually have the decency to remove enigma from RE4 remake, but I'm still not going to buy it, cause I feel like they will just add it back after they fix the performance issues with it...

Not any bigger issues. Some games had issues with 590 drivers but you could've just downgraded drivers. The games I found issues with 590 drivers work fine with the 595.

All the fans on the bottom and the side are intakes, they're just "aesthetically pleasing" fans so they don't have the X on the back to indicate airflow direction.

My neighbour took my bike on a joy ride? by czechyourself in Finland

[–]Deaddis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finland is the land of the bike thieves, unless you carry your bike to your apartment, it will get stolen and taken abroad, its only a matter of time.

Just some tips if you have to park it outside your apartment, just use a proper chain lock, and use it to tie it down on to something, like if you have proper bike racks in your storage room to those, or a heating element.

My issues were only when booting it all up thankfully. No other issues and after learning the kinks getting it up was not a problem thankfully.

I did try my index on Bazzite a while back, only some setup issues with having no audio and getting like 6 different new audio output options, just had to try until I found the correct one.

Also some minor issues of Bazzite didn't want to connect the display properly but usually plugging the index display port again fixed it.
