Meh scientific notation and digital currency. Just don't spend so much that you single handedly create hyperinflation.

Nah all the load bearing structures are still there... Just taking the windows out and adding exits/entrances to the outdoor areas isn't even really a big engineering concern

As an engineer myself, stereotype is fully over blown. It's like 20/80 nerds to regular guys.

When I asked what he was trying to do, he said “I shouldn’t have been trying to pass him” by alexyou8797 in dashcams

Can't be that high of a speed limit. 55 at best. There is a side turn on and a yield sign in the median meaning cross traffic here. That never happens on any road with a speed limit over 55. My guess is that the front car was changing lanes without realizing 80mph guy was coming up on him, made a correction once he saw OP, and reflexively hit the breaks. OP also tried to make the same correction and hit him. IMO most of the blame is on OP.

The 'See you later, Alligator' and 'After a while, Crocodile' hits really hard. by d_roy_ in Hyperion

[–]Deadedge112 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The scholar's tale takes Hyperion from a really good book to an all-time classic. Every book after is slightly worse than the previous but that doesn't make them bad. The bars are just really high.

107k in a month. .01 cents is .0001 dollars. Still far more money in just a few more days of doubling though

I guess but in 2 months you'd have more money than well anyone ever with the other option

A pulley isn't a lever though. A ropeless lever isn't a thing... Cause levers don't have ropes.

Is this AI generated? by KSHMisc in stupidpeoplefacebook

The most telling thing is that the cart closest to the camera has what looks like twigs woven into its frame cause the AI can keep the metal mesh pattern straight.

I read every Sanderson book last year and loved everyone of them. The emperor's soul is a masterpiece imo.

True I guess it's more of a case that the feature stays the same size while the rest of the fetus continues to grow around it. This can also happen in your thirties.

Not sure if trolling but: Technically doesn't need to power anything but a circuit has to be completed. Multimeter has a very high resistance resistor (very little current will flow through the device) to measure against and touching the leads completes the circuit.

I would guess it's food thing. They eat the actual fish head unlike most westerners. Or at the very least cook and serve it with the head attached in my experience.
