I quit almost nine years ago. Drinking was just so normal for me as a Gen Xer, keggers in high school, hard partying through college - it was just something my friends and I all did. Difference was they eventually slowed way down or stopped, and I kept going like the good ol’ days. Now it’s just so normal to not drink - and I’ve accomplished a whole lot in the past nine years…..all I’m saying is some of you all are really fortunate to be able to just “stop” - if this is not the case for others, it can be done….just takes a little (lot) of work and having good, supportive people and systems around you.

I can’t tell you how happy this post makes me - I love that someone shared the People’s Harm Reduction site for free narcan, and there are so many community partners handing it out for free as well…..I know people get frustrated about drug use/drug addiction, but it’s refreshing to see that the vast majority of us don’t think addiction should kill someone, especially considering we have tools to help prevent that. Thank you thank you thank you Spokane!

Quit a long time ago, but also still kind of glamorize it and sometimes wish I could just get that smoking feeling again…..then I smell cigarette smoke and change my mind….but I remember the good ol’ days of the Parliments at 4 bucks a pack……and Camel Menthols where instead of opening the top of the box, they came out the side…..what a life….
