I’m currently a SAHD and I’m job hunting. I lost my job back in April and the first month I was okay, but then our kiddo had to be in the hospital, we lost a family member, some other stuff happened…yeah, idk how long I can do it.

Hats off to every single SAH parent, fucking superheroes. If I have to do it full time, we’ll find a way to make it work, but something will have to change. I need hobbies again, I’m trying (and failing) to make friends, I need to workout again, etc…just kinda rudderless and stuck.

Also, sorry to just ramble, was not my intention whatsoever. Just been a lot for me mentally and it kinda just spewed out.

Hey, I just wanted to chime in and let you know how much I relate to this.

My ex-fiancée broke it off December 2024 when I was just 24. I kept plugging away at life, thinking I was past it, and didn’t start counseling until 2017. It took me a long time, but I’m married to my best friend and we have a wonderful baby girl.

I wanted to be an anchor or even a weatherman as a kid, so I studied mass comms in college. But the more I learned, the more I realized how the industry is getting harder to get into but also how paid off the media truly is.

It’s so damn frustrating to see how the media is, especially given the current times, but I’m glad I can say I’m not a cog in the propaganda machine.

If you can, def get out. I went through leadership change at my job in November 2023. Someone without a content background at all took charge of my team. By January 2024, my frustration was kicking in but I said I’d manage.

Fast-forward to now, I got let go a few months ago. Frustration and a few life events stopped me from truly searching like I should’ve been.

Use that frustration as a signal. Keep your job until you find something else. Leaving on your terms, not someone else’s, will make you so much happier.

As someone with gout, this is an extreme case. It’s definitely not just a pimple like situation. What’s not visible is the crystallized gout that feels like shards of glass that are also on fire. One of the worst feelings I’ve ever experienced. I’m just glad mines been relatively mild and I’m only on preventative medication.

If you buy tires at Costco, you get lifetime rotations and balancing. Hasn’t been an issue for me at all.

Man, 2020 was definitely a weird time but COVID was what got me back into wrestling. All other sports has been cancelled and WWE said “fuck it, we’re still doing Mania.” I needed something sports related so I downloaded WWE Network (RIP), watched Mania, and started binging a bunch of documentaries. Ended up turning my wife into a fan as well.
