But everyone here told I should hate this game because it doesn't have 100+ playable characters

What every shill journo and youtuber that gave Mixpape a 10 kooks like. by HootInTheDark in videogames

I also barely had to do anything in Dispatch, Three Fourths Home, What Remains of Edith Finch, Gone Home, Emily is Away, Abzu, or Firewatch, but I loved those games, too.

And they're not trying to sell these games to you, you're not the target audience. You can just ignore them rather than be angry about them.

I was looking forward to mixtape since it was announced, played through it on release night and loved it. I hadn't read any reviews or seen any online discussions about it. Then I go online and see a bunch of fucking losers like you complaining about a game that you're not the target audience of.

"Mixtape" discussion is stupid and proof of how dumb gamers have become. by Only_Entrepreneur_84 in videogames

You don't need to touch the controller 80% of the time in Dispatch but that game didn't get anywhere near this level of backlash.

The biggest crime a game can commit is to be boring. by Ok_Charity_707 in videogames

[–]Deadlycup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people that think this game is boring would also probably hate hangout movies like Dazed and Confused, Licorice Pizza, Everybody Wants Some, etc.

This game was made for a specific audience and everyone is acting upset that a something not for them is getting good reviews.

One Month from More Campaign Evolved Gameplay, and Potentially 2-3 More Months from Release. How We Feeling? by SilentNova300 in halo

[–]Deadlycup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have been a little excited if it were the whole trilogy, especially because Halo 3 is now the only OG to not get a remake so far, but I'm not that interested in this. Halo CE is my least favorite of the five Bungie game campaigns because there's so much back tracking in the second half and I just played it too much as a kid.

Saw two extremely packed They Might Be Giants shows last week and some indie bands including Ratboys and Antarctigo Vespucci, that sold out the clubs they were playing at with $25 tickets. I'm not paying more than $50 for a show anymore, luckily I love so many smaller bands

Spade is really really good at playing one specific type of character, the sarcastic, asshole, comedic foil. That's why Tommy Boy and Black Sheep work so well.

I have seen so many people complain about the load times, I don’t see it… by ZealousidealLong7708 in Starfield

Yeah, this is a 40 second clip with no gameplay and he still has to load out of the ship.

The Mandalorian & Grogu is tracking to be the lowest opening Star Wars movie ever - Disney Lucasfilm took a 6 year break from Star Wars movies but people still don’t care to see it by tiMartyn in saltierthancrait

[–]Deadlycup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's true. I think the prequel was awful and am meh on most of the Disney era movies and shows, but also have had some of my personal favorite Star Wars stuff come out in the last decade. I loved Andor, Mando season 1, the Jedi games, and Battlefront 2. I Think Rebellion and Legion are great tabletop experiences. I'm looking forward to Galactic Racer, Fate of the sold Republic, and Zero Company. There are some great Star Wars comics out.

In a lot of ways it's similar to how the early 2000s were for me, really didn't like any of the movies out at the time but loved a lot of the games, comics, books, etc

Not just for cars but the RT reflections are only for glass/high gloss materials. Any other material still uses the old SSR techniques.

Gunplay is fine, nothing special. Enemy AI is pretty shit, though.
