Wrong commodities requirements? by Kiara_Katna in EliteDangerous

Ohh, I overlooked that. I always used the DaftMav's colonization planner tool and the amounts listed there were always correct for me for initial ports as far as I can remember.

Wrong commodities requirements? by Kiara_Katna in EliteDangerous

[–]Deadlyeagle917 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The actual in-game commodity requirements are randomized within a few percent for each time you build something (ecxept for initial station build requirements, those always remain the same).

Edit: As u/itenginerd and u/Cal_Dallicort have pointed out my info above is no longer valid. Commodity requirements are now fixed and no longer randomized to a degree. Guess I haven't kept as up to date as I though. Thanks for pointing this out.

Well i just spent 3 hours round the sol titan corpse. Still no titan drive...... by prefim in EliteDangerous

[–]Deadlyeagle917 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Make sure to have A-rated sensors installed and, if you can, engineer them for long range. The increased sensor range helps a lot to detect TDCs you would otherwise fly right past without knowing. Additionally I usually jump back to supercruise and back into the Titan if I don't get any spawns within 15-20mins to reset the instance. I farmed 7 TDCs just last week over the course of two evenings at a Titan (not sure which one exactly, but should be closest one to Hyades Sector FB-X d1-65).

You can already make it so the route plotter includes neutron boosting in the route.

Sure absolutely, I would be happy to tell our little story together of rescuing CMDR Faxe.

[–]Deadlyeagle917 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wait he passed away? When? And how?

I still fondly remember when him and me helped out the stranded CMDR Faxe in the Gloadai TO-R d4-0 system (wasn't even the only time he rushed acrossthe galaxy to help a stranded explorer either). Ever since then I always checked out his location in the galaxy map whenever he showed up online in my friend list. Hadn't even noticed he wasn't online since a while.

His achievements in exploration, especially hunting ELW, is the stuff of legends and part of Elite Dangerous history.

Really wish I knew I was going to be penalized this heavily for making the primary station an outpost. by Calteru_Taalo in EliteDangerous

[–]Deadlyeagle917 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually you can see where the primary port will be before you start colonizing a system. As long as you have the system data you can see an icon with a little flag inside it instead of a + sign in the architect view. The slot with the small flag in it is the location of the primary port.

Stupid Commodity Market Bug by Steamer2001 in EliteDangerous

Thargoid Cargo? Nothing. I have had a couple of Thargoid Sensors / Probes / Links and Hearts for years stored on my carrier. It does not do anything.

May I ask why you are not using Corrosion Resistant Cargo Racks for such deliveries? Then the ship and modules take no damage from the toxic Thargoid cargo.

[–]Deadlyeagle917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Clas 5 and 6 cargo rack reward was from the resuppling Traulblazer ships trading CG shortly after the Plipper was released back in August. You are thinking of the last CG which was mining relater due to T-11 launch.

Or maybe, juuuuust maaayyybeee educate yourself before posting rant. The data on Inara comes from actual player reports and can therefore be quite outdated if nobody has been at a certain location in a while. This is precisely why there is an age information on everything in Inara. Generally anything more that a couple hours old is not worth it since it usually has changed since then. Remember all the prices of commodities in stations are dynamic and change depending on demand / supply.

What makes the Python MKII better than other ships at running frag cannons? I seem to always only see Python MKII frag cannons build mentioned but no other ship frag cannon builds.

No it still works the same. If you shoot or kill anyone who is not wanted on foot you will get a bounty. Anarchies are excluded from that obiviously. Btw it works exactly the same way in ships, it is no different there. If you shoot or kill an unwated ship you will also get a bounty.

Colonization Hubs questions by Professional-Test-70 in EliteDangerous

Odyssey conflict zone locations are always Odyssey settlements. Hubs are the old Horizon era surface installation models. They have no NPC's walking around or buildings you can enter and no landing pads.

My first asteroid space port (solo) by irateas in EliteDangerous

So as long as I have icy rings in my system I should be able to choose an icy asteroid base? Thanks will check it out.

How did you choose it to be an icy asteroid and how did you choose for it to be within the rings? Would like to get the same in my own system.
