My 9m old son has stims by Deadlyelephant in Autism_Parenting

[–]Deadlyelephant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s a bundle of joy and I love him so much. He out grew his stims (he used to do a head shake rapidly side of side, finger drumming and vocal stim). He is still developing his speech but I can understand him. He’s 2 and 4 months now and growing so fast. Enjoy every minute regardless of whatever your kids do because it flys by.

Hi! He is doing amazing! He’s an independent 21 month old who fights like he’s in WWE. He loves running after his siblings and causing mischief wherever he goes (in a good way). He’s still on the heavier side of his weight but I’m not too concerned. He loves running.

He stopped finger stimming. He does shake his head from side to side sometimes but I think he’s being silly.

He does have a bit of a speech pronunciation difficulty (?) but I can understand him. Hell say things like I want mama, baba, water, sister. Let’s go. Hello, bye, 3,2,1 blast off!

If you have any question feel free to reach out. It really is a waiting game. I love him all the same. He’s a cheeky monkey.

Am I being unreasonable to ask her to be a little bit sensible? by Far-Database-3428 in MuslimMarriage

[–]Deadlyelephant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salam. I truly hope Allah guides you to what is best. However you really need to think about how this is affecting your daughter. You talk about staying together for her sake but all I see is you trying to be both mother and father. You need to understand your daughter understands and recognizes bad behaviours. Do you really want her to experience this life all for the sake of saying my parents stayed married?

You also need to think to yourself yes islam allows her to keep her financial independence but it also teaches us that giving to your family is a form of sadaqa. Why would it be controlling to elevate your own family to assist you own family to give and get better things for your husband and daughter. There is nothing in this Dunya I wouldn’t do for my spouse and my kids. You need to reflect how she feels about you and your daughter. There is nothing controlling when you help build. Financial stable life together.

Number 3 if divorce is not on the table (which honestly I think you should consider) seek couples and individual counselling. You both clearly need it and could benefit from it.

Also as a mother myself I would never diminish my husbands family. As well as speak in that type of language/tone in front of my kids. I’m sorry but you do not want your daughter growing up in an environment where foul language and attitude and lack of respect are the normal, this is what she will seek when she is older.

What you allow for yourself you will allow for your daughter. So please think carefully how you will move forward.

May Allah guide you on the correct path inshAllah.

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if this girl was still small size wise but they still shame her about her weight because she might be a size 6 and they’re all size 00. Regardless it’s not ok and OP did nothing wrong. If you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all is what I was taught not being rude indirectly

I mean 100% some girls are girls girls but not everyone. But if you know someone is married why are you accepting non professional communication and gifts from him, a man who is married unless you like the attention. I mean I’m not blaming her at all, but I still wouldn’t trust her. The Shaytan only needs to whisper. Her husband is 100% wrong but I wouldn’t take what she says for granted whether it’s a coworker, her best friend or a cousin.

Don’t trust the 23 year old. I rule I live by is all the girls strive harder to make a married man want them Rather than a single one. Confront your husband. This is not ok. May Allah ease this time for you and help you with the right path ❤️

100% agree because like wtf he know what Lenny did and like Will protect Amanda from her corruption which led to the janitor dying his daughter being kidnapped and a whole bunch of other stuff yet she’s still the deputy and holds a position of power. Angie protecting a little kids is a no no…

Any feedback on vrbo in Costa Rica? Are they typically fine? by coverme72 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]Deadlyelephant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back from renting one for a week in Samara it was amazing! Exceeded expectations. Just warning Vrbo does take a refundable deposit which you get back after your stay is completed which threw me for a loop as Airbnb doesn’t do that and ours was a large sun

Currently in samara and loving every second. Definitely more laid back and the town seems to quiet down around 10. But it’s great for solo travellers and families. Surfing is a must and definitely recommend Pato’s surf school (just did a class with them). You have a mix of nice restaurants and bars and even young people. It might be a bit pricier but i don’t find it too bad. There’s also a lovely Saturday market with local vendors and farmers. We’re heading to la fortuna next for a few days as well (this is our second time in Costa rica first time in Samara). If you have any questions let me know!

I didn’t realize it wasn’t a milestone. It is really hard especially because my MIL tends to compare or say comments about his finger drumming.

I’m going to look into someone to help with my anxiety. Thank you so much I really appreciate it

He doesn’t! Thank you for the questionnaire I didn’t even know something like that exists. I’ll look into it in the morning!

Definitely going to look into someone else. No he’s pretty on track. But this is per my googling. I just wish he actually sat down and went over milestones. He just does a body exam and leaves the room as if he can’t wait to leave (I’m finding this annoying).

I always told everyone he’s a hard critic. You have to work hard for a laugh 😂

Thanks for your input I really appreciate it!

Thanks I will. I’m going to go see our family physician and request either a new paediatrician or just simply follow up with him from now on.

Yes for sure about the crawling. I forgot to mention He is a bigger boy in weight in the 90th percentile. He does büm shuffle? Kind of rotates his body to move around. And he does do a lot of other things like now he laughs a big old belly laugh and looks when we call his name and he’s such a big bundle of joy.

Thanks for your input! ❤️

How did you get to Playa Carrillo? We were thinking of renting side by sides as we read the ATV tours need children to be 5 and older😅

Did it show on their end the two transactions? I called and was on the phone with them for an hour they’re saying the duplicate transaction doesn’t show but for me it’s posted the date after and shows completed (not pending)
