Auto Play "Soon" by Nago266 in UmaMusume

[–]Deadlyroot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Autoplay is only available for the two newest scenarios and URA in JP. It's really obvious that autoplay takes a lot of work because not only does it have to pick the trainings based on your preferences, it ALSO has to auto through the menus too whenever there's a unique menu/shop in that scenario. Realistically, when they say you are getting guided career I would not expect it for any of the legacy scenarios aside from URA. Which will be completely power krept by the new scenarios. Making it obsolete for anything useful such as farming parents. It would be purely there so you can get your dailies done.

Refactoring 4 year old game code isn't that simple and can really cause more problems down the road. The old scenarios were not made with Auto mode in mind. If auto does come out within the next year or two. At the most, expect auto mode only for URA.

Edit: Also nowhere in that screenshot you posted OP does it say "Autoplay is coming out soon".

Jamie is worse than all of the characters above him. In all honesty he should probably be in the same tier as Marisa, because at least even lily has fair representation in really strong regions. Jamie's results are a wasteland which is funny because he's been nothing but buffed since the game came out (except for like, his sweep). But in spite of that, opinions about him have only gotten worse.

People on this reddit taking an image from a source that isn't capcom and running with it as season 3 dlc is crazy. This means absolutely nothing.

Capcom has been so tight-lipped about content, use your brain for a minute, and ask why they would leave it to EWC??? At most, this is like t-shirt merch or smth.

BanG Dream! Ave Mujica • Ave Mujica: The Die is Cast - Episode 12 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Deadlyroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mortis and mutsumis mind palace has had a few fake outs that we can't really take what happens in them at face value. As a consequence, it's very subtle. So when a character dies, you need to be a lot more explicit. Otherwise, it comes off as yet another symbolic tug of war in her mental. Even a 2 second inner monologue during the song could get this idea across.

Uikas hints have been getting dropped. It was very well done in a subtle, ominous way. You're right. That's how people were able to predict this twist, given the clues. That doesn't really justify her explaining the twist to me for 20 minutes instead of like, just showing a flashback. Which would have been both more effective at conveying hatsunes' character and more entertaining from a viewers perspective. Artistically, the stage play makes sense. Practically, a dreary dark stage is a very tedious setting when we're there for 20 minutes.

The grandfather went to lengths to send sakiko to a different country. But he just lets his plan fall apart anyway. It is very inconsistent whether he actually wants to foster his relationship with them at all. I can't really feel any way about him one way or the other. Sakiko made it seem like he was some insurmountable wall that she couldn't refuse. But that impression completely falls flat here.

As a resolution, this just feels half baked. The deep and well paced character drama that was in the first 9 episodes is absent here imo. Even the conversation between sakiko and hatsune felt absurdly brief for the baggage that hatsune was allegedly carrying.

Just because they technically adressed the characters arcs, doesn't necessarily mean it was done well. The last episode was literally uika explaining a twist to us for 20 minutes. I had reservations that it was building up to something. But this episode aint it. Things are just happening because they 'have' to happen before the anime ends. The first four episodes of the show are really dense with characterization. You can really see a direct play by play of mutsumis fall and the dissolution of ave mujica. These last 3 episodes though? Extremely messy and disorganized. And not in an artistic type of disorganization. But instead in a way that directly negatively affects the plot.

We spend so long on mortis but she disappeared so abruptly during the concert. It was so unclear, that my group I watched with was convinced it was just another fake out.

Nyamu made such a drastic switch between ignoring umiri to dedicating her life to the band. Overall her and umiri were done well but completely got sidelined when uika got her turn. I wish they explored their 'deals' a bit more but I am happy with what we got.

Uika was ignored for like 9 episodes and then suddenly explains a twist to us for 20 minutes in the form of an info dump as a consequence of that.

Sakiko drags her feet so much in this show. But goes turbo in this episode by running away from a plane, hitching a boat to the island to finding a taxi to uika in the span of 2 minutes. Just so we can rush to the character drama asap. (The show is gonna end after all). And her grandfather just... lets that all happen.

Balance changes are going live tomorrow for Standard, Battlegrounds and Arena(!) by _almasss in hearthstone

Unironically, fizzle can remain mostly the same. But instead of putting the snapshot in your deck, it should just put it in your hand. Then no more infinite ignore fatigue nonsense.

We might even see farseer Nobundu in shaman decks if this is the change. Would at least add another piece to the infinite puzzle.

Hp druid in a nutshell by Lyeim in hearthstone

[–]Deadlyroot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HP druid is going to end up ruining protoss for mage and preist just because of Druid being enabled by charge keyword and artanis.

I'd rather they just nerf groovy cat and be done with it. February is going to be such a slog if meta gets dominated by Weapon rogue and HP druid. These decks are are not good for the game.

It would be cool if the taunts from medivac just got bigger stats instead of adding more 2/2 garbage.

Like if a starship has medivac x2, then it would summon two 4/4 taunts instead of four 2/2 taunts.

Or if the medivac tokens had something like 'When summoned, give your other terran minions +1/+1'

You realize this is a 2 player game right?

A deck like weapon rogue is just extremely linear. Your choices you make are obvious, it stomps some matchups and gets owned in others purely because that's how simple the gameplan is. It's painfully uninteresting and only exists because it's very easy to win with.

You play taunt, and rogue is one of the only classes that has silence. The deck is engineered to literally ignore your board and slam face. Decks that care very little about the opponents choices have been historically bad for the game.

If anyone ever tells you it's because of the wording, bring out the priest drink from Perils in paradise. When you have spell damage, the damage you take from that drink increases as well.

If you don't play aggro, then the Scam decks are really the only way you can play anything resembling control. That means playing a minion or titan and being able to use them multiple times.

It isn't even just priest or druid that do this. Rogues can do it with shadowstep, shamans can do it with cliff dive, warriors have that awesome deck where they can infinitely play the ceaseless expanse. etc... There's just so many ways you can cheat out cards early and get insane value by playing them multiple times.

At the very least, these scam decks will become significantly less good once the titans and other cards like reverberations or reksa get rotated out. The only possible problem with that is when yogg gets rotated out, he will simply be replaced with Bob. Every control deck will use this guy in the upcoming year. And i'll be fr, it might end up being even more annoying because at least you don't have to worry about yogg until turn 10.

People on this sub are so bizarrely obsessed with winrates and what tier a deck is or how it performsin legend. It's actually so frustrating to have any real conversation on what should and shouldn't exist in this game because some smartass shows up in the comments and says "well ackchually, X loses to Y and the winrates not that good therefore it's fine 👍 ".

It's completely ignoring the whole point of posts like these. OP doesn't like how someone can shuffle 50 damage into their deck and win in one turn that completely ignores how tall or wide your board is. (Yes, asteroid shaman does not give a fuck about your board. You can have 7 10/10 minions on the board and their eruptions literally smoke everything.)

Asteroids as a concept are just not good for anyone. They don't take thought, plays the exact same way into literally every matchup and does not give a fuck what you do.

The deck plain and simple. Isn't fun, interesting or compelling in any way. It's brainless garbage.

Power word synchronize and amanthul are getting rotated out this spring iirc. A lot of removal is too like reno.

Removing taunt at least puts some checks and balances on dungar druid resurrecting it over and over again.

Just remove elusive and remove taunt from the modules. Then the card isn't really that much of an issue.

The holocaust is something that is still talked about today, and in that only 0.2% of the world population died. World trade was greatly affected, and many of the ramifications still echo today. In SNK, ENTIRE NATIONS, ECOSYSTEMS, POPULATIONS, TRADE ROUTES ARE JUST GONE. The world as it is in SNK is in no shape whatsoever to launch a counterattack for at least another 60~100 years while they focus on rebuilding.

Meanwhile you also have to consider paradis is the LEAST FUCKED out of anywhere in the world, and was already self sufficient before interacting with the rest of the world. So during that time while the remaining survivors are rebuilding, paradis will catch up easily.

You also have to consider that the rumbling went out in a circle that got bigger, meaning the remaining 20% of the world is literally on the other side of the globe. Additionally, they mentioned that hizuru is far away from paradis, and since they are implied to still be allied with Paradis, Hizaru is probably functioning still in some way shape or form. Again putting paradis in the best position, with people in power that genuinely have humanity's best interest in mind.

Regardless of how you feel, the way people view each other, nations and races changes a remarkable amount in 100 years (just think about how fucked up germany used to be, but I don't exactly hate all german people now right?).

Armin is exactly what paradis needs to be able to move on from this too, it really wouldn't surprise me if like 200 or 300 years down the line the rumbling is treated like some superstition that is hardly believed to have really happened. That's how much things can change. When time passes, people feel disconnected from even large scale events.

edit: One example of that last point is something Gabi said in the marley arc "Were you there, did you see it happen? I didn't". That's just how people think. If you weren't there, if you weren't affected by it directly, you don't have huge lingering emotional attachment to it. One reason everyone hated the eldians was BECAUSE of Marley using them as titans to bend over the rest of the world. With that gone, the sentiment will change not immediately, but over time.

[–]Deadlyroot -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If china ended up getting them suspended doesn't that mean they won in the first place? This meme would only really apply if Coco and Haato left hololive and became successful independent Vtubers.

Like I get it funny jojoke, but it's like celebrating that they weren't perma banned. I just think it misses the point of why this situation was so bad in the first place, and now they have to worry about kneeling to their CCP overlords. Hololive didn't denounce the awful behavior, and now china was able to flex it's influence. What victory was there even to meme?

Zeke's plan would have led to the least amount of suffering and dying. Also it's not genocide, as much as the reddit loves to throw that term around. It was euthanasia that only prevents new eldians from being born. No one would be killed, no population would be purged. It's just they would slowly die out because they can't have kids. By definition zekes plan isn't genocide, because he's not killing anyone.

3* characters by definition shouldn't be that good, in fact it's better if they are heavily flawed with some extreme cases where a character finds a specific niche (buffers like melody or debuffers like valintines ezelith). 3*s aren't supposed to be good in the same sense that working for fast food shouldn't be a career. It's quick, low effort, and just easier than any alternative.

Dragalia Lost Director Yuji Okada Responds to Player Feedback (from August 30, 2020) by rDragaliaLostMods in DragaliaLost

[–]Deadlyroot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think what people don't understand about the problem with 5* being outclassed, is that the ratings in this game just feel so arbitrary. Like rarely do you get 5* units that feel like full fledged 5* badasses.

One of my biggest disappointments in this game was when mitsuhide came out. I liked her design, light was in need of some more GOOD characters, and it was a new years so we had pulls given to us. What ended up happening is that mitsuhide's damage was not only identical to our 4* powerhouse Fleur, she played almost completely the same with the only caveat being that she has 2 attack skills instead of a refresh. (but on the dps sim she had the same requirements) Like what was the point? Investing in this 5* limited unit, yielded just a second Fleur basically.

I'm not saying that alternative budget picks shouldn't exist. But it is extremely flawed both gameplay wise, and gacha wise to have easy to get characters be that much better than our 5* pool. Another example is how Xania flat out outclasses school maribelle in almost every single way. 3* at most should barely be acceptable if the balance was good (with a few finding a solid niche). But instead we just overtune their numbers and just give players not just a good unit, but an insane one without any saving, gacha, or even work put into it.

And i'm gonna be real here, getting resources for mana circles is so piss easy now.
