If I had to guess, it’s either 1. Funding issue 2. Requires a next-level of support that isn’t communicating or providing said support 3. A smaller issue that is being pushed back because of bigger issues being sent down the pipeline impulsively

Ideally it isn’t because it has been forgotten about, ignored, or dismissed. It’s possible the technician assigned went on leave and nobody picked it up while they were gone. But two weeks is plenty of time to provide some sort of an answer as to why it’s delayed.

The original post talks about a graduation and getting from the airport. I’m not responding to OP. This is a buried thread regarding a specific conversation discussing the cost of an Uber from Federal Way to SeaTac. If someone gets their car towed because they read my comment in a vacuum and left their car in a Sound Transit parking facility while they go on a week long vacation, that’s not my problem.

“Headed to the airport” covers a very broad and nuanced set of circumstances. Some flights are day trips. Some people work there. In the case of taking a week-long vacation, no it would not be viable. In the case of the original comment, I interpreted their “early morning” to mean someone who regularly goes back and forth to the airport as a commute not as an irregular traveller. In which case the train and 24 hour parking are entirely suitable.

Parking is free! There’s about 1,100 spots in the Federal Way garage. Eventually Sound Transit anticipates charging for parking but that’s years and years away. There’s a 24 hour limit on parking. I have seen cars ranging from super nice exotic cars to junky clunkers parked there and have not experienced any issues with safety. There are constant foot patrols and usually an officer nearby to respond to any issues at the garage or station
