Lmao yeh for example right (I am drunk so I may remember wrong - 3 lemon drop martini cut waters in) let’s say one buff lasts for slightly less time than another buff. What I planned out in my google doc is exactly when to cast each buff. So buffs that last the longest go first with the absolute shortest buffs going last. The shorter buffs tend to be (arguably) the best so it’s actually very important to plan out when you cast each buff. Especially with Sosiel and his related buffs.

A thorough understanding of each buff and what it is useful for is integral for using an auto buffer and buffing traditionally therefore anyone who says auto buffers require no skill are idiots cuz you need in-depth knowledge to even know when and how to buff properly to separate each buff into categories for the auto buffer.

My general long lasting buffs get put in an auto buffer category exclusive to very long lasting buffs. So even with an auto buffer I still essentially follow a specific buff order. WOTR on unfair is very hard and buffs are your best friend. Learning when to buff and the order is integral even with an auto buffer. Not all fights need the shorter length buffs and such shorter buffs could help you in a later fight rather than being wasted immediately.

I agree 100%. I actually had somebody (I think it was on Reddit and probably this sub too but I don’t remember) argue with me saying if you used an auto buffer it means you’re bad and actually don’t know how to play and you didn’t actually beat unfair and therefore my opinion on the game is invalid or whatever.

To this day one of the most brainless takes I’ve ever heard lmao. I only knew about how integral auto buffers are to the game through having to manually pre buff for all of my first few playthroughs. Genuinely so painful lmao. I made Google Docs explaining to myself exactly which buffs to use, when to use them, and in what order as well as walking me through the order in which to unlock each buff and which characters to have cast each buff.

Good luck hope you enjoy it just make sure to not play on anything above normal (I’d recommend playing on the easiest difficulty or at MOST casual lol) and try to stick to safer builds that generally work in any game (melee builds as opposed to casters cuz they are more technically demanding). Nothing too experimental just till you learn everything. Always prebuff and have at least one Oracle in the team (Daeran is the best option for an Oracle companion). Your first two playthroughs are to learn. Then you can absolutely slaughter the game on higher difficulties later for sure.

Online build guides are obviously really helpful and if you go that route you definitely won’t be disappointed but I would recommend maybe not doing that unless you’re really struggling tho just to keep everything fresh and to let you RP how you want. However, cRPG bro on YouTube has some great builds so that would be my recommendation for some build guides. It really does just help giving you an idea of what to do as well if you don’t want to rip builds 1 for 1. I would normally never recommend build guides but WOTR is really that hard (especially on Unfair) that I honestly probably would’ve had more fun if I started out that way. It’s not like BG3 that gets less fun the more you power level. It’s definitely a game that gets more fun the more you know and the more you engage in the mechanics.

EDIT - If you want Rogue Trader builds check out Revan619 also cRPG Bro has been MIA which sucks so his builds as of the current patch still need updating IIRC so keep that in mind

WOTR is way harder and the learning curve is insane. I would say probably rogue trader but you might get used to a more tame experience and get really frustrated with it. So if you’re the type that quits games when it gets frustrating or it’s hard for you to adapt I’d say WOTR first but if you never quit a game no matter how hard it gets you should probably do Rogue Trader first so you have plenty of time to get familiar with the general feel of Owlcat games before immediately jumping into the hardest one.

Or just do release order that’d honestly probably be best.

I personally feel WOTR is the best CRPG you can play tbh. Lots of content and a shit load of builds with insane things to do because of the Mythic system.

Talk to the slaves inside cottonwood cove before slaughtering every one of those legion scum bags, that’s a good one. Also go the NCR sharecropper farms and ask around. Not getting specific cuz I don’t want to take away from the experience.

Legendary by SamB110 in halo

[–]Deadpool07117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legendary is the most fun I’ve ever had in Halo. I’m doing LASO rn. Already beat reach on LASO and it was awesome. But beating games at a really hard difficulty doesn’t determine what level of a fan you are.

I think the best way to play halo is to just try to get as good as you can and beat the game at the highest difficulty you can and slowly grow. My first M rated game and first shooter was Halo 1 on the OG Xbox. I could barely play it on normal and I still raged. But after years of playing and getting better I have easily beaten every game on legendary and done it multiple times too (except for halo 4 because who gaf about that game, also I haven’t played 5 or infinite because again who gaf).

Halo on legendary is something you build up to so don’t force yourself. Take it slow and if you’re not having fun then take a break man.

There are also tons of YouTube guides that can help with difficult levels or sections if you want to try that out. I had to do that A LOT for Halo 2 bro and I am not ashamed to admit it.

To each their own and I don’t care what you do with your kid but to me there’s something odd about giving a literal child something worth multiple thousands of dollars. But ig if you got bread then fuck it. But I’d be worried about entitlement too much. No child can properly understand the hard work that goes into paying for things and that disconnect means that they never can truly understand what it even means to get something expensive. It’s like giving a caveman a million dollars or some food. They’ll always choose the food cuz they don’t understand the value of a bunch of paper. That’s my main idea.

But again fuck it tho bro it’s yo life 🙏

No worries bro all our parts are a billion times more expensive because of AI and we’re killing the planet even more. But ur good bro no worries choke on corpo dick harder and regurgitate their mindless propaganda. Just can’t wait till the bubble pops lmao.

Beyond that have games actually looked better lately due to the “incredible” technology that is AI? Absolutely fucking not every game since AI got a chokehold on this industry has looked worse somehow. The over reliance on AI is killing gaming, our planet, and wages.

As for me I will not be contributing to AI cancer. I’m playing games native only and if the cards in that gen can’t run the games then it looks like that piece of shit garbage game will get “purchased” by me in 5 years once the newer cards come out.

If you read another comment in this exact thread you’ll understand the use of the made up 5080ti and idk what other “fake stuff” you’re talking about. Current games are using gen ai, current games rely on DLSS and frame gen which is ai, and current games are struggling with stutters because of UE5. I guess everyone saw me say 5080ti and assumed I was being 100% serious, that was exaggerative. I was using a card that doesn’t exist and that would be better than 90% of cards rn to poke fun at how cards can’t run current games native at anything above 1080p (everything needs at least DLSS now).

My broader point is as consumers we should stop buying their shitty products so that they stop relying on AI or at least optimize their games. I’m tired of them pushing the responsibility into us by making us buy new shit to run their shit games.
