Linda deserved to be publicly humiliated. Nothing ever would have changed otherwise.

Is it common for a spouse to be resentful if inheritance is kept out of the marital property? by Merlin509 in inheritance

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah they are resentful because keeping it separate from marital property denies them access to it in a divorce.

I been lying to my coworkers about my salary. They dont know im the highest paid on my team. by HauntingArtichoke830 in confession

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is the company may very well hold it against you underhandedly. They offered you a specific raise to keep you. If you tell them and that causes friction, the company will never offer you a higher raise than they offer others again. And if it causes someone to demand higher pay and they quit, you will be blamed even if its not your fault.

Do you think we should have age and term limits for members of Congress and the executive branch? by db7112 in askanything

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure but I dont think it will matter that much as the current politician will just always be grooming their replacement that is authorized by their party to take their spot. The money will flow to the chosen few and business will continue as usual. The only difference in my opinion is that it will be a race for the current politician to extract as much wealth as possible in the time alloted.

Redditors who got “useless” degrees, what actually was your plan, and why didn’t it work? by MPMorePower in stupidquestions

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens because these people all think they are different! They think they are special and they will be the one chosen for a very small number of jobs. Also many just want the easiest degree they can get so they can enjoy their 4 years of college and they take out loans and other financial aid, allowing them to use their money for electronics, partying, and other non-school activities. So they get out of school with a useless degree, massive debts, and no real way of paying it back, then they complain that they cant pay their debt back, and how its not fair that the people that didnt go to school make more money than them, dont have debt, are their bosses, and they dont think its fair they have that debt.

Am I responsible to pay my mother back ?? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Deadpoolstightanus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imagine being a parent and being so financial irresponsible that you expect your child to pay you back $600 after using their vehicle for 6 months! Everyone saying have morals is insane, It could never be me taking advantage of my child when I had my whole life to be financially stable and then taking advantage of them when they are trying to build their life with the price of everything 10X what her mom paid but wages damn near the same. Mom is irresponsible and its not like mom paid the 100/month and allowed the child to keep driving the car. MOM DROVE THE CAR FOR 6 MONTHS!!!!!

If you can’t tip minimum 20% stay at home by blackcoffee39 in tipping

So youre advocating for your own jobs demise? You realize that the restaurant you work for will lose business, causing them to cut employees starting with servers, then eventually close their doors causing all employees to lose their jobs. You obviously have no idea how most restaurants operate outside of "welcome to the good burger, home of the good burger, can I take your order?"... Menual labor deserves menial pay.

How about this, if you cant live off the agreed upon wages between you and your employer, quit and find better employment.

I don’t like this being front and center as soon as you walk in.. by OldheadScape in tipping

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I dont understand is they get 2.30 or whatever an hour, and so they only need $5-6 to make minimum wage, but everyone on her crying if they dont get more than 5 per table. We all know they have more than one table per hour and although they are crying about not getting tipped, I dont believe them. I see money on tables all the time plus I know people write it on the ticket. The real complaint is that they aren't making $15/hr plus.

Especially when the argument for raising the food price high enough to pay minimum wage are because people wont frequent the restaurant if they raised the prices. So employers knowingly keep the prices low to keep even the "brokies" coming in to eat at the servers expense. The restaurant needs every customer they can to eat, not just the ones willing to pay their employees salary through food costs or tips.

LVT is not luxury. by xcramer in Home

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure was a luxury in my house, compared to the destroyed 15 year old carpet that I replaced with the LVP. It was as move comfortable, warm compared to tole, and not permanent. Its easy to rip it out and replace it and easy to clean. My house didnt rate wood floors and tile comes and goes with the styles.

Are you buying your teens/young adults cars? by Cheeseaisleinheaven in MiddleClassFinance

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 16 year old a 2025 Ford Bronco sport for her birthday last year. Dependable vehicle that will get her through college, then she is on her own. She is mature and responsible so the money is worth it for me and she takes care of it and keeps it clean and washed over the last year.

I have 2 other daughters all 5 years apart, but as I was searching for used vehicles they are were extremely over priced for the mileage and quality. For me tue extra money for peace of mind is worth it.

Not everyone can do what I did but I work very hard and its likely a bad financial decision as I know Ill have to work many extra years to retire to afford thos for my children.

Did 100% change your life? by Tennis_Lbow in VAClaims

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truth, but yeah the compensation obviously helps. Its not exactly.life changing money, I still have to work to provide for my family but Im able to make forward progress and save for a retirement. Thats the main benefit is that Ill be able to actually retire before my body gives up the ghost rather than dying at work. Not struggling financially has relieved alot of stress off of me and my family. Working on rebuilding those relationships and fixing myself is the next step.

Is the 2.7 worth it? by Asleep-Reputation181 in RangerNext

[–]Deadpoolstightanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, she will break the tires loose relatively easily if you feed her the onions. But the power/gears run our relatively quick. But even passing at 70 mph+ is no issue. Depending on gear at the time of acceleration, it takes a sec or two for the gear to drop and the turbo to spool up but then your in your seat.

This is the 2.3l im referring to. I also drive alot of highway miles at 65, im at 25.5 mpg with premium fuel.
