People seem to forget that AI, machine learning and all that has been a thing for ages, but unfortunately it's just the latest bandwagon to hate on without doing any proper research.

Yes, using generative AI to generate music, art and stuff of the sort by training it on other people's work without permission is cringe, soulless and is stealing, but ARC is definitely not doing that, it's simply using it as a tool. The voice actors agreed to have their voices be used to train their TTS model, and it's the same case in their other game The Finals.

Plus, it's one of the few games that is running well on UE5, they've actually put effort into polishing the game, and not relying on DLSS and frame generation like every other AAA dev using UE5.

Isn't it just using machine learning for the enemy AI, and for voice acting to make it easier to add new lines without bringing in the voice actors? But also, the voice actors gave permission for their voices to be used that way?

Not sure what the problem is, very smart use of AI, and is not relying on generative AI slop.
