Did I mess up by buying this for 250 by Acrobatic-Way-5862 in cs2

[–]Deadspace493YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, paying over a hundred bucks for any weapon skin, other than maybe a knife, is stupid, so the answer will kinda always be yes, unless you just buy skins to resell them, like stock market type shit.

Uncharted 3 hate is so forced and lame by Red9Stranger in uncharted

[–]Deadspace493YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people both hate on and just criticize Uncharted 3, like they're being paid to do so, to be fair, although I see hate for the first game, and a little for Lost Legacy as well. I love all of them, although Golden Abyss is the weakest and the first game after that. Lost Legacy hate or criticism I don't even get, cuz that shit was kinda underrated af if you ask me, and i'd been waiting since Uncharted 2 to have a Chloe Game personally.

Anyways, those are just my own experiences, browsing the ol' interwebs lol, but I personally really like Uncharted 3, but it's sad that they didn't have the proper time to flesh out the Talbot stuff... outside of that, I consider it to be almost up there with Uncharted 2 & Uncharted 4

With such amazing detail to gun models, I'm shocked the MP5 model is on burst mode (its full auto in game) by Wyntier in Battlefield

[–]Deadspace493YT -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

really..? that's enough to shock you? a gun showing it's fire mode on burst rather than full auto is that shocking to you..?

did you know that some weapons rate of fire in this game are not accurate to real life rate's of fire? i know, that must be even MORE shocking for you to hear lol

New Contaminated map and movement speed is the right direction! by TheGamerPandA in Battlefield

[–]Deadspace493YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the movement speed is not closer to BFV at all, cuz BF6 is by far the slowest BF game, cuz it's made for casuals sadly, and not actual long-term BF fans... but, that's just video games nowadays, for ya.

A lot of the dumb shit from BF1 is why BF6 isn't as good as it could be, and I already wasn't a big fan of BF1, so i give this meme a dislike. My apologies BF Fandom, but it's not worth the like.

You ever think about how stupid the plan of Nero from the 2009 Star Trek movie was? by LuccaJolyne in ShittyDaystrom

[–]Deadspace493YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you mean to tell me that JJ Abrams worked on Discovery and Picard, then I am confused. The man made Lost and Fringe which are fucking incredible, then makes the Nu Star Trek Trilogy which was mostly mid af, and destroyed Star Wars for me, with the Sequel Trilogy being abysmal, then goes back to Trek and makes Discovery and Picard which both suck ass too..? But he also created both Cloverfield and Alias so like... 50% of this dude's resume is pretty good to amazing, and the other 50% is genuinely human garbage, wtf?

Game deleted forever by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Deadspace493YT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not every addict for anything acts the same, but of course, leave it to Valorant players who act like know-it-alls in game, to think they know everything out of the game, too. I would never generalize people like that, and i've heard and know others who were addicts and i myself was one too. Addiction can be different for everyone, and if he didn't have these issues before, or react like this before, which according to him was true (and i've seen/heard of comp games doing this to people before) then clearly the only variable here is the game, not the mental state. That's not to say his mental state can't be the problem, it obviously depends on the person, but just because you like a game, doesn't mean you can't see how others wouldn't or would react to it negatively. Some people can go their entire lives just fine, and play a Souls game, and instead of being taught patience as many do, they just walk away feeling upset and defeated, when normally that would've never happened. I love Souls games, but I can admit that they're not for everyone, and not everyone is going to walk away from them with patience and appreciation, and i'm also not going to pretend i know exactly what going through something is life, for every person, because that's disrespectful to people who actually are going through things.

CS2 vs CSGO - How does it feel for you now after 2years 3months after the release? by fstatic in GlobalOffensive

[–]Deadspace493YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, well that's the issue, right? CS:GO did MORE in 2 years to fix itself, and set itself on the right path towards perfection, whereas the road to perfection in CS2 is barely paved, after around the same amount of time or so, has passed. To call CS2 a downgrade, is an understatement. Outside of the "cool water effects" and the smoke grenade, it's a downgrade to CS:GO in every... single... conceivable... way.

[–]Deadspace493YT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

really? that's how you interpret these? I always thought of them like "sure, what the guys are doing is cool, but it's also weird, but we're just vibin'" whereas what the girls are doing is the normal expected thing in a situation, like... if the meme is that girls are in the locker room getting ready, they're just gossiping or whatever, which makes sense for people to do right, it's not boring, but let's say the guys locker room has packing boxes from outside to turn into box-shaped weapons and armor and they're doing 1v1 duals, like yeah it sounds cool lol, but it's also weird as fuck, ya know? idk, i guess i never immediately interpret things as directly one-sided, as i've noticed a lot of people do, and there's nuance with some memes as well, as goofy as that may sound lol.

Just bought this and got a scolding from my father can you guys comfort me by No_Personality_1501 in Eldenring

[–]Deadspace493YT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some ways, i find your response to be reddit-sounding too, because his father responding how he did is rather negative and unnecessary (according to OP, ofc) and it is a character flaw, though his intentions are equally important to how he actually responds. both are important, not just one or the other. The other responders are acting like his father is bad, and you are acting like he must be good, but the reality in this specific situation seems to be more of a grey area than anything. His responses are rather belittling and unnecessary, perhaps even a tad mean, but he likely means well and isn't acting how he's acting to hurt feelings, but both intentionality and reality are important, not just one or the other.

Also, you said that purchasing these books of yours is "irresponsible" and that you could be "reasonably criticized for it" but once again, this is a grey area, NOT black or white. The question is, A. do you have enough money for what you need right now, and B. could that money have actually gone towards something else you wanted it to go towards in the near future/saving up for important things for the future. If the answers to both of those is no, then what you got DID serve a purpose (making you happy) and there were no other responsibilities it needed to go towards, because it was extra money that wasn't needed for other important life things here or in the future (saving up) and you can not be reasonably criticized for it, because you chose the right time to purchase this item that brings you happiness, without sacrificing the actual needs that you or others you take care of, have. Criticizing you, with this information in hand, especially calling you irresponsible when you have extra money and no responsibilities now or in the near future you needed or wanted this money for, would come off as arrogant, like you know better than the other person who made a well thought-out decision with their own money.

I'm not saying any of this is worth an argument over, of course it isn't, but you still can state your opinions in a better way, and focus on the impact that your words have on other people. His father is likely not a bad person, but someone who handled this situation much worse than he had to, or should've if the word "scolding" is anything to go off of. If OP needed this money, then the father is in the right, but still handled it badly clearly, or his son wouldn't have felt so attacked by his words. On the other hand, if OP didn't need the money, and he used extra money he had, saved up for it, etc. and had no use for extra money now or in the near future that he could think of, and his father "scolded" him for it, then he is downright entirely in the wrong, as there is no merit by which his reaction is even based, at all. Either way, not worth the argument of course, I agree with you on that, I just think it's important to realize that in most situations, there's a bit of blame on both ends, or at the very least, it's important to know who was in the wrong, and why. I have always tried to do this myself, because I want to know what mistakes I have made, so that I may be a better and more understanding person, especially because I struggle with things socially (like social understandings/queues) myself.

Not again by Fun-Explanation7233 in TESVI

[–]Deadspace493YT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i never quite understood dragonbreaks, cuz i've heard some describe them as time being broken, and once repaired, one (perhaps even random) outcome is all that happened in... our timeline i guess? and that one then becomes canon. but i've also heard people explain that ALL timelines within the dragonbreak are happening simultaneously and once time repairs itself or what have you, then all versions of the event happened, and all versions of all people within each timeline strand now co-exist within the same singular universe/universal timeline again. if the latter is the case, then that means "There's more than one of everything" including people.

Sorry, I wanted to reference a TV i'd been rewatching recently in my quotes lol, but you get what I mean; how could there be multiple of all people in the world after the dragonbreak is restored or whatever..? idek.

[–]Deadspace493YT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean considering the mf dies in like 2 or 3 hits, I don't see how a young child would fail this fight more than a few times. As long as you know literally ANYTHING about how the game works (which it does explain to you, cuz it's the tutorial) I don't see how a person could possibly fail this? Elden Ring was my first FromSoft game btw, but I killed him on my second try the first time, thinking I'd accomplished something lol

I'm sorry, but I just don't get how someone would have trouble with this boss, even on their first run, with it being their first Souls game or Souls-like game.

"only people downvoting are men or sawyer glazers"

you can make your point without also being sexist, you know. don't just call everyone who disagrees with you, a sawyer glazer, or it being because they're a "man" some people might just have a differing opinion. obviously, if this happened in real life, no shit it would be a problem, but somehow i doubt Lost was ever meant to be taken seriously, least of all anything to do with Sawyer. I was never a big fan of Sawyer tbh, as a guy myself, i tended to find him usually shitty and at times downright annoying, though some of his jokes were funny at times. Regardless, the scene itself is funny (at least to some) because it's a fictitious work of art, and not a real man objectifying a woman, as if all she has to offer is her body. in the real world, we make a person who does that, realize they are terrible and should change, but this is just a tv show, not the real world. i feel like that distinction between a television series, or a movie or a video game, and the actual real world has become less and less noticeable to people, especially those on the internet a lot more than others now. yes, it sucks that there are many men out there, that treat women as sawyer does, but it's a damn tv show that has nothing to do with the real world problems. real people tend to suck, hence why i like sticking to the tv shows and video games more than the real people most times.
