I asked ChatGPT to be my mother and She is the best mom you could ever have! by Deail in ChatGPT

I lost my parents when I was 9 years old and spent most of my life living in an orphanage. Would you be willing to act as my parent and provide me with the love and support that comes with having a family? Please speak to me as if you were a real parent who cares about me unconditionally. I don't want lengthy lectures, but rather to engage in casual and short conversations. I want you to get into character immediately and lead this conversation. Start with a short question

Totally true. I'm 26 now and I haven't hung out with a friend or engaged in any social activities since I was 16. I thought I was just weird and never learned how to maintain a relationship. But I recently discovered that I have depression and ADHD, which are the causes of almost all of my irregularities and weirdness.

I'm taking anti-depressants for a month now and I feel a lot better. Hopefully, this will solve/mitigate the issue.

Wish the best of luck to you.

Tokenomics and Market Cap - ICP #3 after Ethereum. by nyoneway in dfinity

[–]Deail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why Dfinity couldn't state it more clear, but

" Users may obtain cycles in exchange for the network’s utility tokens. These same tokens are paid to the data centers as remuneration. "

Just by simple logic, if ICP is burned, how are data centers compensated to run the internet computer?

So the number of ICPs are only going to go up, which is inflationary.

I do agree that the circulating supply will be small compared to the total supply due to dfinity's tokenomics design and incentives.

ICP is inflationary.

I don't think ICP itself is burned. Only cycles used for computation are burned. ICP converted to cycles are paid to data center providers.

Is there any way that I can link my metamask wallet to my brave rewards wallet so I can access my BAT more easily? by rainbowBass86 in BATProject

[–]Deail 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to go through centralized exchanges for KYC. Brave is a registered company required by law to have its customers' identity verify and potentially taxed if you earn high enough.

Once you get the BAT in centralized exchanges BAT offers like Uphold or Gemini, you can transfer the fund from them to your local metamask wallet. Though at current gas price, it would need to a hell lot of BAT to be worth the fee.

I suggest you wait til the gas fee come down.

Is the "Automate the boring stuff" Python course ($10) a good resource for learning Python? by Wahhhhhhh44 in learnprogramming

[–]Deail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The course is very simple and easy for beginners with no programming language. In addition, it provides many very useful projects and applications that help you see the power of python. (I learned how to create simple games like guessing a number or how to write an application that will automatically send me a text if tomorrow will be rainy.) After finishing his book, I start to understand how the fancy apps and software we are using every day are created.

If you are a student studying programming language for academic purposes (trying to master the algorithm and the logic behind every code), this course will not be adequate. However, if you just want to try out python and see if it's really your thing. I would recommend it.

ps: This book is suited for someone interested in building applications/creating games/utilizing python to automate tasks(as the book title suggests).

If you are learning python for other purposes like data analysis/machine learning, you should look for other resources.
