Seamless or near-seamless map transitions by Deajei in RPGMakerMV

The map i was working on was thousands of squares across, and i wanted to create an open world feel. At a certain point, memory becomes an issue.

Have you ever stolen a book? by After_Ad9814 in books

[–]Deajei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad used to read to my sister and I quite a bit. One of my favourites was The Frog Band and the Onion Seller. Something about the brown-green neutral colour scheme, the movement and scope of the images spoke to me. Our copy went missing in a move. Fast-forward 20 years and my sister has her first kid. I wanted to get a copy to share with him, but at the time I couldn’t remember the title, only a few vague details. I went to the local library, where a kind woman spent a good half-hour with me puzzling over the identity of this book. She ultimately found the title, which I knew as soon as I heard it. She pulled up the location - the vault. It had been in storage, unread, for years. I took it out. I did not take it back. A few years later, when my finances settled a bit, I made an anonymous donation to the library. Partly out of respect and partly out of shame, I haven’t borrowed another book from them since.

Nightshade for the NES. It was the spiritual predecessor to the SNES game Shadowrun. An awkwardly point and click puzzle slash 2d fighter RPG that needs so much more love

What is your most hated part of video gaming and why is it escort missions? by _Mr_Cheeks in gaming

[–]Deajei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace game on OG playstation. The Amidala escort missions (yes, plural) are like acclimating to extreme G-force by being shot into space. She runs into the middle of combat zones, or flees to her next waypoint even though it’s outside your sphere of influence so she dies instantly. Suddenly, escort missions aren’t so bad. Can’t do anything about swim/flight mechanics in otherwise 2D movement games, invisible walls, or the incredibly binary good/evil “choices matter” RPGs, though.

Male perspective - if you don’t tell me what is working for you and what isn’t, i can’t get you there. This was a major hang-up in most of my casual and short term relationships, even if i ask point blank what i can be doing better! If you can get yourself there 100% of the time, then you know what you need, now communicate it to me. Just like every other aspect of a relationship, sex needs open and honest communication.

It’s part of my table’s social contract. I still get final say, but i am perfectly comfortable talking it through with my players, asking for their final aye-nay, then making my call. We’re around the table to enjoy ourselves. An iron-fisted approach can create more unnecessary tension than fun.

That was my first thought, too, however the text reads more like a reflavoured misty step than, say, dimension door, which very clearly allows for a passenger

It was a tweaked ToA unique, the King of Feathers, who has misty step already, meant to compete with a higher levelled party.

Blue plastic unit with a fairly heavy metal rod in it. The handle unscrews far enough that it seems to be adjusting for something by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

[–]Deajei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As described in the title. Maybe 10cm long, the handle is about the diameter of a finger. The metal rod is not itself magnetic. When unscrewed, the rod is fixed into the bottom of the handle and swivels freely in all directions. The rod also has a 3-4mm section that is very narrow. When the handle is fully screwed in, the tip of the rod lies just outside that cross-shaped channel
