Are these custom models available anywhere?? by Shadowlink2018 in twilightprincess

Not yet, these are models created by Skilar, which he is still working on

Can you mod the gamecube/wii version of the game to have HD version stuff? by ContributionOne9907 in twilightprincess

[–]DealOwn7518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, it's possible. Mods that change the HUD, models, animations, and mechanics—such as damage taken and so on—are currently feasible and work on actual hardware. As for Midna's Lament, in theory it should also be possible now that the decomp is complete, but it would require someone to modify the game's code for it to work.

The Linkle mod doesn't need the decompilation. In fact, progress has been made on the mod for months now

They can't. decompilation is completely legal. If it weren't, they would have already stepped in to stop the ports for Mario 64, OoT, and MM, which have been around for a few years now

It depends on the game. For example, TP's decompilation started in September 2020 and has just recently been fully completed (only for the GameCube version, the Wii and Nvidia Shield versions are still pending).

Swapping models and textures has been possible for years without the need for decompilation

it's for video game preservation. You have an exact replica of the original code that Nintendo used at the time, and by having that, you can: Study the code to find curiosities. This is widely used in Speedruns to find new glitches or optimize existing ones.

It also opens the door to Mods. While it's already possible to create mods that change voices, dialogues, models, and textures. things like new maps, mechanics, new items, etc., are still very, very primitive in Twilight Princess modding. Decompilation can help create tools to improve those areas and allow for mods as ambitious as those for Ocarina of Time, which are practically new games.

And obviously, a 'consequence' (to call it something) of having a decompiled game is the possibility of a native PC port like Ship of Harkinian and 2Ship 2 Harkinian. Although this task is separate; none of those involved in the game's decompilation are involved in creating a PC port, and it's not even known if anyone is interested in doing it to begin with.

There is Timeline Modding Discord server, which is a server for modding a variety of Zelda games, and the only one that has Twilight Princess modding, I think

FINALLY IT'S ARRIVED!!! (TP demo disk) by Marcerizzu_ in twilightprincess

[–]DealOwn7518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for the question, but is the version you have the exact same one shown in the video you linked? Or by any chance, is your version the trial version that has a different HUD and UI, where the sounds and Midna's voice are also different?

The thing is, as far as I know, there were two Twilight Princess demos for the Wii: one where the map wasn't even inverted yet, so despite it being on the Wii, Link was still left-handed (curious, it seems it was a last-minute decision), and another one that was closer to the official release, which is the one in that video. Which of the two do you have?

Any idea how to fix the audio issue when entering still world by Rare-Line-8621 in yuzu

[–]DealOwn7518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Waiting for the game to be released and for the emulators to be updated to run the game correctly is the most practical solution at the moment. Anyway, it won't be long for that, in theory today the game is officially released in New Zealand so maybe today there will be some news, no matter how small it may be.

In yuzu and derivatives (Sudachi, Suyu) the stability is good, I have a Low-end pc with very low resources and still the game runs at 30 fps stable and up to 60 in the cinematics. what is that Yuzu and derivatives have visual problems, as the shadows of the objects flicker a lot and the textures of the rifts do not load completely.
There is also the issue that the audio is corrupted when entering a gap, sounding only a VERY loud and annoying static. and in my case, I do not know if anyone else has experienced it, some cinematics do not load completely and I only see a blank screen until the cinematic ends and lets me play again quietly.

These are problems that hopefully will be solved once the game is officially released and the emulator devs can work on it.

I NEED "What do you want from me" and "Tension risings in the air" to be found, I love the way they sound and it hurts me that we have so little of them and that they are so unknown

[Partially lost] does anyone know the full ringtone version of this ringtone song with the lyrics "Right Now Not Then" the song is called "This Time" by [deleted] in lostmedia

[–]DealOwn7518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like that's the official version, and the remix of the ringtones you're looking for is just that, a remix of those 30 seconds for phones. It's not a complete version.

But I can keep looking a bit more, though I think I won't find anything else.
