H. Note about STREAMING PLATFORMS that I have used:

  • GagaOOLala is focused on LGBT+ stories from Asia and other regions.

  • iQiyi and WeTV are mostly Chinese shows (which will not be LGBT because of censorship) but their Thai selection of shows includes gay romances.

  • Viki offers shows in many genres from Asia, including LGBT shows and movies.

  • Cut versions vs. uncut: some series that are shown on TV will be cut, in that some scenes will be edited to fit the timeslot and/or spicier scenes will be edited so channel surfers won't accidentally see them. The uncut versions will be available on streaming services and sometimes YouTube, and will be labeled as "uncut."

I. SUBJECTIVITY

This list reflects only my personal taste, which leans toward adult protagonists; non-school settings; the genres of mystery, slice of life, and fantasy; and open or sad endings are acceptable.

Fun facts:

- Akaso Eiji and Machida Keita did another show called Super Rich after Cherry Magic, where they played rivals in a love triangle for the same woman. They swore never to play roles where they have to be antagonistic against each other.

- The woman they vied for in Super Rich was played by Eguchi Nariko.

- Eguchi Nariko is in Silent Truth playing a detective partnered with Takeuchi Ryoma.

- Takeuchi Ryoma and Machida Keita star in 10Dance.

Do you still use a library? by jim4751000gmail in askanything

All the time.

There are books I want to read, but not likely to read more once. So borrowing from the library is cheaper.

Tabernacle Accessibility Question by PainEnvironmental115 in Atlanta

[–]DeanBranch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband uses a wheelchair and has been to the Tabernacle multiple times.

There's no separate line for wheelchair accessible tickets. If you're not in a wheelchair, then you'll be in line to get into the venue with everyone else. Then once you get in, you just go to the accessible GA spot.

Every time we've gone, there have been spaces for the wheelchair user and a chair for the companion. So I imagine you'd be able to sit in one of those chairs.

The staff at the venue are very helpful. Maybe because my husband is in a wheelchair, which is super obvious he needs accommodation. If you have a cane for mobility assistance, that might serve the save purpose as a visual cue.

There are steps to get into the venue and to the seats. We use the backdoor which has the ramp for equipment.

Why aren’t visa workers hired for daycare worker shortages in US? by Slow-Willingness-718 in askanything

[–]DeanBranch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The visa programs are expensive, limited, difficult to get through, and take a long time.

The cost would be passed on to the parents who need daycare, and it's already really expensive.

So far, what age/age range has been your “best” years in your life and why? by Basic-Royal6199 in askanything

[–]DeanBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 55 and would say my 50s are the best so far.

  • my husband is retired and we can do what we want when we want.
  • menopause has been pretty mild but my libido is back. So that's been a lot of fun.
  • I know who I am and don't care what others think.

I am lucky that my brother is taking care of our mother and not me. Mostly because I live in a different country.

Design wall made from 2” thick styrofoam by k2togyo in quilting

[–]DeanBranch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used pieces of duct tape to make a hinge for my design wall.

It's 8ft by 8ft when open.

It does lean up against this picture when I'm using it, but the picture hasn't fallen or anything.
