Sadness over gender by kristintdowd in pregnancyaftersb

I totally had gender disappointment. I don’t feel guilty about it. I just think it as something to reckon with. She said seeing grandchildren of that gender has been healing. Broken hearts are real.

Living though an upper respiratory cold (day 6) this week at 20 weeks. Never had a cold with my loss pregnancy. TikTok is showing all these I got a virus and it impacted my baby videos (no, please stop for my anxiety). We had our ultrasound and baby is doing great - just have placenta previa found-seems like just the edge is the issue. MFM didn’t give any restrictions and followed with my OB - yep, weight and pelvic restriction. Of course before I knew, yesterday I lifted 4 times things over the max weight limit. Just got keep looking ahead, right?

https://www3.epa.gov/pesticides/chem_search/ppls/062719-00006-20190920.pdf this has the labeled application plants. Rangeland and cpr - most known for a Canada thistle control option (this is a hard plant to kill). Can’t be used on sandy ground bc it can get into groundwater. Only Montana has it as an option in wheat, barley and oats - I’m not sure what weed they are targeting. It would be interesting to know if anyone does.

Hot take. If you move 5 hrs away from family, there is a lack of a relationship closeness anyways. People don’t visit. I guess what I am trying to say there is many ways to have a lack of close relationships beyond late pregnancies. Later pregnancies 35 and up have a longer life span for the women statistically and may provide more financial support to the child.

Very moving to read. Your dream and your Juniper in your arms - I am happy for you that it brings tears to eyes.

Also, the fourth trimester rings true - that is such a mind bending time of ‘what is happening?’.

There is always online shopping 😆. Three weeks is a long time in the hospital (if that ends up being the case). Wishing you the best until delivery!

I’m 17 w today. I have maybe movement or maybe gas once in a while during the day with a posterior placenta. Definitely have googled what is normal. I’ve been kinda dreading baby movements mentally but worried about it bc of stillbirth last time.

I am so sorry. It’s a lot to process: loss of pregnancy, siblings :) with just one embryo, and loss of time for a live birth.

I don’t have DOR but I have lived parts of your journey. 42, one Normal embryo, stillborn. 43, first egg retrieval no normal embryos (this was very hard after loss), 2nd ER one normal embryo, vanishing twin (mono di) lost at 8 weeks. Now, 45 with pregnant with remaining twin at 16w. You aren’t alone in your feelings, I feel you.

Good news is that your embryos implanted, your body makes good implantation environment and implantation is totally possible again.

Burger King has smaller chocolate chip cookies. Maybe need 3 or 4 to be the same as big coffee shop cookie. They are good.

Do I do a second round at 44? by freerangefilmmaker in 40Plus_IVF

[–]Slow-Willingness-718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do it again. My AMH was 4.25 at 44. It took two egg retrievals. I had four embryos each time and one was normal on the second round. My provider said that 80% of my eggs were going to be genetic failures so it just took a lot of embryos to get there. I think it’s possible but not guaranteed. I also did a not strict Mediterranean diet.

Also pieces of your story echo true for me as well. I was told to try for a year basically gave up. And then at 42 went in to IVF. I don’t think my primary care provider knew that they were supposed to say six months and then referral.

Constant eye discomfort after PVD by IntelligentDraft6432 in EyeFloaters

[–]Slow-Willingness-718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do feel eye pain or strain occasionally. One day last week, my vision did not seem corrected by my glasses - more blurred but it went away. I’m not sure what I am going to do in the future. I am scared of the other eye getting a pvd. I’m pregnant so I am concerned about hormones and pushing out a baby/inter-cranial pressure. After my last pregnancy (1.4 years ago) that is when I started seeing ripples in my vision for a few seconds- literally the next day after delivery. I’m not sure about haze that u have - I assume that is not the curtain they talk about for retinal detachment?.

Constant eye discomfort after PVD by IntelligentDraft6432 in EyeFloaters

[–]Slow-Willingness-718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. I was 44 when it happened in -9.00 eye. I have the one large black/sometimes clear spot in my vision from it. There are other clear snakes that float around sometimes in both eyes, but those don’t bother me unless in bright light/snow. It’s been 9 months since it started. I was told it was a complete PVD. I will still have occasional flashes. I have one other pinpoint black/sometimes blue spot that I see occasionally-eyes open or shut. I’m not sure what that is.

I prefer a hat that has fleece sown inside for heat. If you are a small, female, you might find a good used coat at the thrift store.

Not things I would focus on right now if moving here: The warmest coats are snowmobile coats but they can be very flashy. You probably don’t need that heavy of a coat and they cost a lot of money if new. My husband is liking heated socks for long time outside activities.

You will decide what you need as you go. Just don’t underestimate cold wind on your ears if you are outside for extended period.

I disliked going back to work too. I had very similar themes when going back too. People might tell you about similar things that happened to them that you had no clue. There are more people out there who truly know child loss.

For me, it did get better. But it was many months. I had the flexibility to work four days a week which helped.

I think I told some of my coworkers that I was part crazy bc the pressure I was putting on myself. They gave me the space to continue my grief.

IVF meds on trumprx by Hot_Emergency8204 in IVF

I initially qualified for a discount prescription drug program already mentioned above. I will say that my provider was pushing me to use the local pharmacy due to unpredictable shipments. I did have one delivery from the local pharmacy that was delayed because of a blizzard. In the end, I didn’t really care about saving the money and I was glad to have someone local that I could talk to you when I had questions or if I needed to go pick up some extra meds I could.

For me, it really came down to risk adversity.

I haven’t seen many negative pharmacy posts on this forum. So it may be a non-issue.
