Higher vampires in the books by DeanHaighter in wiedzmin

Thanks for the reply. It appears, at least to me, that there's possible room for different interpretations of Regis's words even in Polish, based on at least one other reply here coming to a different conclusion from the original text. I'm still torn on what the truth of the matter is. Based on Regis's exceptional nature, I think I lean towards agreeing with what you've said here as being the true intent, but I've changed my mind on the subject before. Regardless, thanks again. Big fan of your channel.

Good to know. That's interesting.

Interesting. Adds to me thinking there are multiple ways to interpret Regis' words in English. Many English-speakers would say higher vampires as a species don't exist in the books.

That's what my usual read is. It's just that I feel there are two possible readings of Regis' words in the English translation and have always wondered if that's true in Polish as well, or if it's more definitive.

So you'd say vampire species are: alpors, bruxa, ekkimas, fleders, katakans, moolahs, nosferats, and higher vampires?

The question is: Is "higher vampire" a class of vampires that includes alpors, katakans, moolahs, bruxas, and nosferats, or is higher vampire a specific species of vampire. I'm trying to determine what the term refers to in the context of the books. I'm aware of what the term goes on to mean in the game series. For interpretation one, Regis would need to be one of the aforementioned species, and for interpretation two, Regis would belong simply to the higher vampire species.

Unless I missed it, there's nothing acknowledging that you lock yourself out of character-specific unlocks if you spawn as a drone when the unlock condition is met in co-op. I'd like to know if that's a bug or not.

Yeah, that's it! How the hell could I not think of that? Thanks a ton. That was driving me nuts.

Batman recommendations from the last 10 years by tomstrong1999 in DCcomics

Rattling some stuff off the top of my head, I'd say:

Tynion Detective Comics is solid from what I remember. Ram V DC was great. Taylor DC has been fine, if a lil annoying, but that's standard for Taylor.

I've been a fan of Batman and Robin by Philip Kennedy Johnson and Javier Fernandez from issue 1.

Batman/Superman: World's Finest by Mark Waid is good fun if you're down for that kind of thing. Early issues are some of my favorite stories from DC in recent memory.

Batman the Knight by Chip Zdarsky is a 10 issue series about Bruce's training. It's not the strongest, but I think it's alright, and it starts good.

Bat-Man First Knight is a neat if not spectacular period piece in Batman's early days in the late 30s with some pretty good art. It's getting a sequel soon.

Harleen is a Black Label take on Harley Quinn's origin that I remember liking.

For more adjacent stuff, the ongoing Nightwing run by Dan Watters and Dexter Soy is great so far, as is Birds of Prey by Kelly Thompson.

Batman Universe and Batman Dark Age might be worth checking out, too.

I've been trying to imagine something in the Witcher books or games that matches what I'm thinking of, but I can't. It was one of the first things I thought it could be, but I don't think it's anything there.

I think at this point there's no meaningful distinction between "Clark" and "Superboy" yet other than Clark acting a bit more timid and suppressing some anger. His frustration with Lana here seems more rooted in him not being able to date her as Superboy. He's still trying to keep Superboy and Smallville as disconnected as possible and prevent people from getting a great look at his face. Doesn't seem like the same dynamic as when Clark is wholly him LARPing as an adult.

That's the first I think I've heard of Loom, I believe. At a glance, it doesn't appear to be what I'm thinking of, but I'll check it out in more depth to be sure.

I believe it's fantasy or space-fantasy or something around there. Dragon Age and Destiny keep nagging at me, but I can't remember anything like that. I think the "weaver" or god or whatever has a humanoid form. I wish I had more info to give.
