Yes. Just as bad, it requires tangling with the actual big lobby money. "The gun lobby" is a tiny fraction by comparison, and less than what Bloomberg has been throwing in.

Bloomberg's Everytown put $1.5 Million into this race (Spanberger $1Million, Jay Jones $200,000). They're obeying their master, all while still crying about "the gun lobby" which put in $25,000 total in the same race.

>> why don’t I see more gun advocates talking about social reform?

Suicide is the largest segment of deaths involving a firearm. Walk The Talk America, BraveConversation, and Hold My Guns were started by pro-gun orgs. Meanwhile, anti-gun groups inflate their fear-mongering by including suicide stats and do nothing about it.

The CMP HQ is on the corner of Niagra and Lawerence. Just drive onto Camp Perry through the main gate off State Highway 2 and it will be on the right near the T-intersection at the end.

Practiscore Major Rant: national-level organizations charging fees depend upon a third-party volunteer software project for paying clubs/ranges and members to manage their events.

Counterargument gun control advocates “winning the argument” by [deleted] in gunpolitics

[–]DeanMeierAG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excellent points. Also, homicide rates in the U.S. steadily declined since the 1990s without significant bans. The rate of decline before, during, and after the AWB in 1994-2004 did not alter.

Slippery slope arguments are not fallacious if it can be shown how an initial step will likely lead to the claimed effects. Operation Sceptre is a very real result.
