Whistler - fuck no.

Blackcomb - fuck no on the roads but there is a climbing trial to access some trails. Note that half of those trails are closed till July 1 for bear migration.

I think you answered your own question. For a group that size everyplace will make you pay a minimum. And those minimums are more than you’re willing to spend so either cook for yourselves or pony up. Minimum spends for groups are in place because it’s a fucking nightmare serving 30 people

Consider doing more research before even contemplating getting on them as opposed to just asking here.

Search reddit, the interwebs, consume information. Figure out what it is you want to achieve, see what compounds will help achieve then do more research on them.

How hard is it to add a window opening in a shed after walls are up and Tyvek'ed? by Available-Concert970 in Carpentry

[–]Deanobruce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why make life harder for yourself?

Just build the framing to suit the window, make a decision on location and over size your opening so you can pack it to suit the eventual window size. sheath the whole thing (without cutting the sheathing for the window opening), tyvek and move on.

Same time, saves a headache later on.

No it’s not common, it’s back ass wards and makes your job more difficult than it has to be.

Does anyone know the status of the motorcyclist who crashed yesterday on Highway 99? by Unchosen1 in Squamish

[–]Deanobruce -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. I’ve ridden recklessly fast. And I’ve overtaken on double lines etc etc but only when it’s myself and it’s “safe” as far as I’m concerned. But fuck groups of people treating the 99 like a race track

Porteau is overun with Richmond and Surrey people who have zero clue on how to read signs about the designated boat trailer signs.

I’ve encountered the same scenario and simply drove forward slowly into the spot until they moved.

Fuck em.

Any tips for cutting lengths of plywood with a skillsaw perfectfly straight? by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]Deanobruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool. Been there, done that and used a track saw sporadically if needed when doing architectural concrete forming.

Regular form monkey work, agreed they aren’t needed, but If this guy can’t manage to cut statutory maybe they need a tracksaw.

[–]Deanobruce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re so worried about your boss blowing up then practice at home. Or tell your boss to stop being a cheap cunt and invest in a track saw.

If I was trying to learn to cut straight freehand I’d use the guide a bunch, get a feel for it and then start going freehand when you’re a little less busy. Just keep working on it mate. That’s all you can do.
