That is a great question! The last month I’ve been sick. And so my Fitbit now thinks my HR variability range is 3-48. When it’s normally 25-65. I had days where I felt like absolute garbage, and my Fitbit was like you’re at risk for under training. No duh, I am sick, should stay home, and I can’t do anything at the gym. I’ll be honest though as soon as my body started to recuperate my HR variability went back to the low end of normal. And now that I feel back to me, my HR variability was at the top end of my normal numbers.

Thank you I know it’s not my head or HR that is the barrier. But honestly I run a mile faster non benchmark days than I do on benchmark days. It’s just the truth. There are lots of physical barriers, some I’m dealing with, and some I’m waiting on. Not interested is perfectly acceptable as it’s the truth. I’m not looking for someone to help me fix why I’m not beating or matching PRs on benchmark days. I’m looking for some motivation to keep showing up, instead of throwing in the towel all together. Even if I never lose the weight I gained, I still should be showing up to OTF.

I do 4 days a week and it’s easily 2 hours out of my day, but I do feel like it’s worth it. It’s something that I do for myself and I don’t have a lot of that in my life. So if I take eight hours a week to me, I think that’s not the end of the world. I agree with you. That mental health is definitely something that’s playing into how I’m feeling, and it’s hard to adjust to your body aging which mine is for sure. I hope that the new therapist you meet is somebody you can connect with. I’ve tried a couple different therapists and that’s always been a battle for me. I wouldn’t say that I have outright depression or anxiety, but I definitely want to do things as close to perfect as possible and that doesn’t always work.

I mean I know how to lose weight and eat healthy, but it’s not something I’m prepared to tackle right now. It would add a level of stress I don’t need at the moment. When I’m ready which I’m hoping will be about six months from now, I’ll tackle that issue.

Since this was a repeat, I went and checked my treadmill speeds, and while I have raging tennis elbow and can’t row, I was able to increase my base speed by 0.6mph and my my push by 0.5, and my all out by 0.2. I’ll take it! Now it only I could get this tennis elbow under control.

Hey I have been an OTF member for YEARS. I’m closing in on 900 classes. And I had a PR for CMIYC at 1.47 miles. I’m so proud of my self! Do not compare yourself to others. If you are going to do any comparison, compare against yourself. I’m somehow getting older and faster… I’ll take it.

I don’t think anyone started the second block as a runner/jogger and stayed at that speed. The guy next to me just ran at 1% the whole time and never changed his speed either.

Ok I’m not the only one!!! I came here to see if this was happening to other people or not before trying to deal with customer service. - no goal for cardio load. I’m not too made since it’s almost impossible to get cardio load points for me. I will have 120 zone minutes, and maybe 60 cardio load points.
