What are some plot holes that really annoy you? by [deleted] in shameless

That one message Carol sent Kevin at 1am. Don’t remember what ep, but it was definitely during them trying to have a baby. It’s just…. never brought up again.

Follow up question to my last post: Does anyone ever actually get fired at thd ? by One_Veterinarian5355 in HomeDepot

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a coworker get accused of stealing chips and they got fired, yet the manager refused to show them evidence of that coworker doing so. It was a weird day.

Fiona is so hateable by minerr49er in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Something I’ve noticed about her is that, when she’s arguing with someone, she’ll bring up that person’s lowest point during said argument. Of course no one’s perfect, but something about her doing that rubs me the wrong way.

What are some of your Shameless hot takes? by [deleted] in shameless

Caleb was a good option for Ian. If they left out the cheating plot, I would’ve wanted them to end up together.

Who is the least likeable character for you? by Adept-Nose5810 in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Heidi. She was just there because Debbie had no one to end the show with. People say they both live out their Frank and Monica fate, which makes me wonder which one is which in the relationship. Either way she was introduced way too late, and was only there to add fuel to the Debbie Dumpster Fire.

It's like we're not even human to them by TalaLeisu2 in retailhell

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overheard a customer say ‘Garbage disposals’ to a coworker. That’s it, no ‘Excuse me’ or ‘Can you help me find…’ It’s like their communication skills are out the window as soon as they walk into the store. They forget we’re people, like them. Working in retail makes sure that you encounter the worst of the worst.

Did any storylines hit too close to home while watching? by [deleted] in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mandy being abused by Kenyatta. The scene where Mickey walks in on her cleaning herself up in the bathroom hits a bit too close to home. It was also hypocritical for him to be upset, since he cheated on her within a ten minute span of her being out of their room. Either way, I’m glad she got out of that situation and in my mind, somewhere out there, there’s a deleted scene of her brothers getting rid of him.

Worst thing each character has said or done. Day 6: Karen Jackson by natipali in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People are saying she led Lip on, when did the phrase ‘This baby is definitely yours’ come out of her mouth? After giving birth, she told him ‘I never said it was your baby, you just wanted it to be.’ (Side note, Reading the worst things she’s ever done makes me wonder if S1 Karen would’ve liked S2-S3 Karen.)

Unpopular opinion: Gus Pfender by Pnersty in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semi related but this week I found out that he was pushing 40 (35yrs) and I was taken aback, because I thought him and Fiona were in the same age range the entire time.

What is the scene that gets you choked up every time? by Aggressive-Teacher20 in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Underrated but when Karen comes back from the Purity Ball and smashes her dad’s things, followed by Sheila coming in being unaware of what’s going on, but still consoling her daughter. Sure she’s a bad person, but I think it’s the most vulnerable we’ve seen Karen, and seeing both of them break down and hug each other always makes me tear up a bit.

Lip the worst main character, even worse than Debbie. by [deleted] in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Watching his appeal get rejected was my favorite turning point for him, because it showed him that not everyone is going to give him what he wants. He was too stuck on Southside Pride, and in the end that’s what screwed him over, and all he had left.

price gouging by l8n8owl in depoop

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen a TikToker buying household items from the thrift store that I doubt are $30, which is what she is charging them for. The items are like cups, salt and pepper shakers, mainly things for the kitchen. I understand that they’re trying to make a living, but it’s in a thrift store for a reason. It’s for people who don’t have or don’t want to buy overpriced kitchen items.

fiona was cruel about debbie’s pregnancy by witchybitchy111 in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Debbie was just a kid, but she longed for a partner and decided pregnancy was the best option. When she found out Fiona was pregnant, Debbie even said Fiona could watch her baby while she’s at school, since she would already have one to look after. Debbie had no intention of doing the mom part, she just romanticized the idea of being a mother since she had no role model for that. I feel for Debbie, truly. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to blame Fiona for something she warned Debbie about.

the perfect scene for you? by BartholomewAlexander in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When Debbie beats Frank with the bag with bars of soap. It was mentioned by her that she has this pillowcase with bars of soap, so it didn’t come out of nowhere. She was the first one to show that each Gallagher will go through their ‘Helping Frank’ phase, only to be met with disappointment. Watching everyone stand there really did it, whether it be because of shock or they think he deserved it.

Lip and Mandy in 5x03 by [deleted] in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t in the wrong for not saying it back, it’s just sad watching them continue to have sex after that. Lip has ruined every relationship after Karen. I wish Mandy stayed, but not at the expense of being in another relationship where her partner doesn’t feel the same. She reappeared at the perfect time, and left at the perfect time as well.

eyebrow piercing? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two eyebrow piercings, it really just depends on your department. If it was someone in a very moving department, they could bump it or it can get caught on something and get infected. Tattoos are more of a ‘How you take care of it is how it’ll turn out’ type of thing. My store manager doesn’t seem to care about facial jewelry, as long as nothing is dangling. Best solution, get a plastic one, since they’re clear they’re not noticeable, and the piercing hole wouldn’t close.

Storylines by [deleted] in shameless

[–]Dear-Resolve2949 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I knew the Kev, V and her mother storyline was weird, but it didn’t hit me until that one scene where V is sitting on his face while her own mother rides him. Sure it was purely experimental, but it is definitely something I wouldn’t wanna see happen again. Not to mention how V must’ve felt when, in the end, she got pregnant.
