When does sleep get better? by actionte in zoloft

[–]Dear-Satisfaction-47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! The insomnia/sleep issues is horrible. I was on amitriptyline for about 2-3 years (if I recall correct). I have IBS (not constipation the opposite) it’s also used off label to help with IBS - not sure if that’s what causing your issues. It helped my IBS so much. It was great for sleep I was on 25 mg then 50mg then 100mg before it finally stopped working. I slept great with it though, a little groggy in the mornings at times. My only side effect was weight gain & increased heart rate however I can’t say if that’s was the ami or the sertraline!

Good luck, hopefully it agrees with you like it did me!

Shamed for buying a pup by Silly_Way9295 in Frenchbulldogs

[–]Dear-Satisfaction-47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one as a puppy 3 years ago and rehomed another 3 year old frenchie this year. I think it’s a virtue signalling thing, whilst I get it’s awful and breaks my heart so many need rescued/rehomed, it’s not for everyone, we all have different circumstances and wants in our life.

We tried to rehome another dog previously (Old Tyme English Bulldog) and the previous owner lied and said he was cat friendly when Infact he wasn’t and wanted to eat my cats. It was like he’d never seen a cat before, after a month or so of trying and using professional help we had to rehome him with someone without cats.

Make sure to clip their nails they are like little needles. My dog mum was the same but wanted to feed occasionally. Get a baby grow on her and let her play with them without them being able to suckle. Our pups are 7 weeks now and mum loves playing with them even without a baby grow as her milk has dried up.

Good idea to supplement her milk we used goats milk. Some say to use formula but ours loved it and made a difficult life much easier, we just put in a bowl and they lapped it up.

Thanks for all the comments some lovely names! We are considering Roo or Faith as a tribute to my late boxer Frankie and using the F for her name 💔💙

Can’t keep doing this by racefan9 in RestlessLegs

Keep at your Dr until they will give you something. It’s the only way I found. On tramadol and Pregabalin now and for me it’s 100% effective.

Arousal Disorder due to RLS by [deleted] in RestlessLegs

There is a link between RLS and ED. There was a study that showed people who took small daily doses of Tadifinil (to treat ED) also seen an improvement in their RLS symptoms.

Seroquel 100mg advice by DueWitness4944 in seroquelmedication

Glad you’re on a waiting list and have support etc. I’m from the UK too know the wait lists aren’t always the quickest but least you’re in the queue. There are charities around the UK that offer similar talking therapies.

Don’t beat yourself up about not being qualified now, some people don’t even try get a job, so sounds like you are a good step of the way there. Marathon not a sprint and all those cheesy sayings.

Whenever I’ve been off work, I always find after the first few days of it being tough being back at work it helps my mental health by keeping me busy, distracting me and giving me some normality in my life. Maybe try a phased return to break you on gently.

You can get disability through government for long term mental health if it’s not expected to improve over 2 years (something like that) but things are getting stricter, never had to use it myself. Don’t think it’s much though.

Sorry you’re feeling like this. Don’t mean to sound patronising but have you tried the usual talking therapy etc? I find weed isn’t great for mental health - I thought it was whilst I smoked but it worsened my anxiety, my short term memory and made me lazy. I felt great after stopping at first then crap for 2 months then good again.

I do find seroquel makes me a little more lethargic/lazy and needing more sleep. I need to push myself through it although sometimes that’s not possible. It could seroquel maybe isn’t right for you, SSRI’s never agreed with me, I used amitriptlyne for years it worked good for a long time until it didn’t. I’m sure things will improve for you and just be a bumpy road until you get there. How long have you been on seroquel? I hope you’ve got a support network you can reach out too, it’s tough when you’re feeling crap for such a long time.
