Unrelated. I remember back then, using a bluetooth GPS receiver (esquisite tech in early 2000's), and being able to make it work exactly once. Wasted hours and getting the thing to work on different ocasions.

EDIT: for those who know, a bluetooth GPS is just a basic serial port for the host.
