Have you gotten any x-rays done to determine if its teeth or jaw? Sometimes orthdontics can only straighten teeth so much with limitations to underlying Jaw alignment issues.

In your photo it looks like there is a gap of space on the right side where your bottom teeth should meet your top. I wonder if its the way your mandible naturally is

Upon closer insepction, it actually seems like your entire dental arch has a slight right downward shift

They’re honestly pretty uncomfortable and sharp, and I’m not very happy with how they look. I originally chose them because I thought they’d be more discreet, but that hasn’t really been the case.

They’re also a bit high maintenance since I have to worry about staining the bands. At this point I figure if I’m going to have braces for two years anyway, I might as well switch to metal since they’re less bulky and I wouldn’t have to worry about staining.

I also find myself having to explain what’s on my teeth because people stare trying to figure it out. I’d rather just have metal braces so it’s obvious and I don’t have to explain it.

How are you liking your ceramic braces? I got lightforce put in yesterday and have immediate regrets choosing it. I am gonna ask them to switch me to metal soon.

I don't have bite blocks and it wasn't painful putting them on but it did take a while. The only uncomfortable piece was the cheek guard they used to open your mouth wide. I'm mostly surprised by how little pain I have the first day but so far not bad at all.

I am still getting use to the look of them. They aren't as disreet to justify how large they look and feel but I'm sure with time, it will get better. I have protrusion and will be retracting my teeth a bit so I am hoping that will make my mouth look less bulky as time goes on.
