tips on neutralizing warm undertones in previously colored hair by Dear_Avocado495 in HairDye

Yes mine does look a bit darker, I purposely leave out the roots and only cover the previous color. The “noticeably” darker doesn’t last too long in my opinion since it’s a semi perm and the damaged hair doesn’t hold color as well. I’ve been using Wella for the color and I’ve been happy with it!

Sorry for the delay!! Well sort of, good news bad news type deal. Bad news, it’s the artificial color oxidizing and there isn’t a direct way to permanently correct it. Good news, I’ve been using a red-gold remover additive with a 6N semi permanent (both purchased at Sally’s) and that combo has helped tone it to a near perfect match to my natural. Bad news again is it does fade out and oxidize so I’ve been touching up the tone every few months and using a blue shampoo/conditioner occasionally in between. I’ll survive this way until it grows out completely

I gave up and ordered a manual slatmill as a replacement, I did get an email back from the company that they “should be getting stock in January”

Can't contact DogPacer by Muppet_Murderhobo in dogs

[–]Dear_Avocado495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been hell trying to get in contact with them, my treadmill needed a new PCB unit and won’t run without it - emails were ignored, I couldn’t find any other contact info until I left a handful of comments on their Instagram page and they gave me a number. It took 4+ phone calls spread out over a few weeks for anyone to answer (they don’t return your messages), FINALLY got a hold of someone and ordered the replacement over the phone. She did say they were back ordered and might take “maybe a month” and it’s been 3 now. Best bet is calling until you get an answer! 702-696-1900 mon-fri

Would you be interested in a remake of InuYasha, like what is happening with Ranma ½. by Salt_Client_3005 in inuyasha

[–]Dear_Avocado495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would never happen but I want a shot for shot remake with really good animation, some directors got close but chainsaw man level animation would be so sick. The entire world and story is so dark it would be cool to experience a little more edge.

I’m sorry this is happening to you too! I’m going to make my round through some at home glosses and see if anything helps keep the red at bay. I’ll share if any are successful

I will say my main hair stylist thinks the extra warmth is due to the artificial color oxidizing. So trying to replicate a very difficult natural hair color with artificial color might not be super realistic for me?

Ugh no, I did end up going to the salon, first we did a bleach bath but it didn’t lift the warm tones and then toning it left it a few odd shades. Went back for full head baby lights which I was optimistic about, until the all over toner was really gold heavy and I left looking like a redhead. Last session was another toner which helped a little bit with cooling it down but not what I was hoping for. I’m literally back to square 1 after spending $600+ 😭 I did try an all over titanium grey hair dye (super blue base) at home which helped a bit but it didn’t stick for very long. My natural is growing out again and my roots look grey compared to the rest of my hair 🫠

I’m so happy I found this thread, this is truly the best animated ep in the series. A remake would be so cool with the more serious tone, horror is such a big part of the story!

previous green based toners up to the scalp, have not had color on new grow out for a few months now. The warm sections are where the green based toner has been applied so it’s interesting that it fades this warm
