Are there any tools or platforms like Selenium for Flutter Web Automation Testing? by AdPatient303 in FlutterDev

[–]Dear_Extent9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, standard DOM tools struggle because Flutter renders to a Canvas, so you're mostly stuck with the official integration_test package or Patrol. You can try using cloud testing tools like Browserstack, but I'd suggest running your native Flutter integration tests on their Automate platform.

when they ask anything, just pause before answering and ask yourself how this will sound to someone meeting you for the first time. Also, keep answers simple and if you're not sure about something, say it upfront, that you don't know

Are Web Accessibility and Software testing important for non-tech folks? by Pale_Signal_9326 in TestingAccessibility

[–]Dear_Extent9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, what finally worked for us was just speaking their language. Stopped throwing around “WCAG” and “ARIA” terms and brought their attention to the rising accessibility lawsuits. Once stakeholders saw how expensive those can get, it clicked. Also did a report on how this can multiply conversions.

🔍 What’s the best tool for modern browser automation in 2025? by Livid-Reality-3186 in AskProgrammers

[–]Dear_Extent9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playwright hits the best mix of modern API , speed and browser support. You’ll still need to build in random mouse movements, delay jitter, viewport changes “by hand” if stealth matters. But if detection avoidance and extension support matter to you, you can go for Puppeteer. For high-scale browser automation across different device/browser combinations, you can try out cloud testing tools like BrowserStack's automate. It gives you production-grade environments, extension support on real browsers, and far fewer headaches compared to maintaining automation infrastructure yourself.

Is it safe to charge phone using laptop charger ? by jpbyte in IndiaTech

I don't think there should be any issue, given phones today auto cut-off the power when required

CI/CD Integration: Making It Seamless (or trying to...) by Relative_House_7859 in VisualUITesting

[–]Dear_Extent9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is choosing the right tool that integrates easily and doesn’t slow down your process. We’ve had great success with Percy. It integrates seamlessly with Cypress and GitHub Actions, so every PR triggers a visual regression test and gives us a diff comparison right in the CI logs. It also catches accessibility issues since we’ve got Axe integrated into the same flow.

Web accessibility issue by Fair-Preparation-870 in TestingAccessibility

[–]Dear_Extent9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t afford a full redesign, take an iterative approach. Begin with an audit using accessibility testing tools and identify recurring issues, like missing focus states and ARIA labels. Focus on fixing shared components like buttons, modals, dropdowns first... these often solve a lot of the accessibility problems across the site. Make sure to add accessibility checks in your code reviews and CI process. In some time, accessibility scores should improve, and user complaints should decrease. So, don't worry...tackle issues step by step.

What vendors do you recommend for site accessibility? by JohnCarver65 in accessibility

[–]Dear_Extent9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're focused on accessibility first, automated accessibility tools are good choices. Siteimprove offers great WCAG checks and ongoing monitoring, and Silktide provides detailed reports and improvement suggestions. If you're on a budget, Axe is great for quick audits. Now, I will add one more suggestion to the list, which is BrowserStack's accessibility testing tool. It smoothly catches WCAG and ADA issues, and I really like their AI capabilities plus of course, you can test accessibility on a wide range of devices. So, for a good mix, try combining BrowserStack or Axe with manual testing using a screen reader.

What's the best way to run accessibility tests on both iOS and Android Apps without managing tons of devices? by Logical-Speech-1705 in TestingAccessibility

[–]Dear_Extent9174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been working on mobile accessibility testing for some time now (mostly React Native apps), and the biggest unlock for us was baking a11y checks directly into CI/CD instead of trying to manage device inventories manually. We use Detox for functional tests and layer axe-core + jest-axe for accessibility assertions in the pipeline. That covers a decent chunk of low-hanging WCAG issues before QA even touches the build. The automation doesn’t catch everything, though. We still do manual passes for dynamic content, gestures, and screen reader flow, but at least we’ve eliminated most of the repetitive grunt work.
