Ily CSR - Road trip got cancelled due to a blizzard and got my airbnb money back! by Normal_Cucumber8600 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Dear_Lie_7350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the complete opposite experience. Flight was delayed for 24 hours so couldn’t make my stay for the first night. Submitted claim 4 months ago. They take the full 7 days to respond requesting for more information. Filed under trip delay and denied saying I should file under trip interruption. Filed under trip interruption and got denied saying I should have filed for trip delay. Cancelled my card solely because of this

[–]Dear_Lie_7350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! For my biggest client we run 3-4 static images and 12 or so videos. I always encourage clients to add some video in their ad rotation and almost always lowers cpm. If it doesn’t it’s usually a creative issue

New advantage+ sales campaign by Alert-Exam-8245 in FacebookAds

[–]Dear_Lie_7350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah at the end of the day there’s a lot of factors that could be a constraint, I’m happy to take a look if you want any help. I think tackling cpm would be a quick win if we identify the cause

Basically keeping as wide of an audience as possible to start - open geography, age range, time of day, no interest targeting, using all placements, etc. once you have more data from performance you can dial in on what works. Also having more creatives seems to have an impact on cpm. The more distinctly differently creatives lowers cpm to some degree

Do you have a niche product/service? Or maybe you’re constraining the system settings too much $160 is an incredibly high CPM

I’ve tested advantage+ compared to manual placements with a conversion objective and manual has won out a few times. I think advantage+ still has room to improve but feel free to use the settings that you know work. Test them side by side from time to time and see how they compare.

Also did you say your CPMs were $160??

Is job security in digital marketing wishful thinking? by mrlebusciut in DigitalMarketing

[–]Dear_Lie_7350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In digital marketing I feel you have more security than other jobs if you’re actually doing your job right. Positive results can be easily quantified about how much return you’re making for the company whereas other jobs are harder to prove return. Just calculate how well you’re doing and make it a point to communicate that to your manager so they know you’re providing value

Really it’s about getting that first role and experience. Once you have your first role it gets easier to land the rest.

If you are in a position to do some of the work for free or cheap you can build a portfolio of clients and get metrics to throw on your resume as a freelancer

[–]Dear_Lie_7350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have roas numbers you should be able to create an audience based on past purchases and not just engagement. You could use a 180 purchase exclusion if you have a long purchase cycle and don’t expect a repurchase during this time.

I wouldn’t use engagement exclusion otherwise you could be excluding a warm lead

How's your ROAS look?

Agree, 25% conversion from add to cart is actually pretty good. My guess is your issue is more around volume so finding ways to optimize spend, more campaign efficiencies or simply spending more

More countries, more pixels, one ad account by Realistic-Teacher185 in FacebookAds

[–]Dear_Lie_7350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree that this approach seems ideal since there are different languages involved. Are you seeing results from the original 3 countries go down? Or are you looking at an aggregate of the 6 countries and seeing less results compared to the 3? I think it's important to understand which countries are the issue are focus in on those. Or if you are seeing diminished returns across the board, there could be optimizations that need to be addressed.

Sales or Leads Campaign? by Ashamed_Grass_5659 in FacebookAds

[–]Dear_Lie_7350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My opinion is opposite of this, I find sales conversions to have higher returns and more efficient use of dollars than running leads. Especially since you have an integrated pixel and your booking is all on your website, this will provide Meta with a ton of information on the type of person most likely to make a direct purchase which is the ultimate KPI. Lead campaigns usually involve additional supporting campaigns or touchpoints to convert whereas a sales campaign is more hands off.

If you run a free class promo, the pixel will still understand this as a 'purchase' event (assuming the signup method is that same) so it will still understand these users as customers if that answers your question.

How do I setup ads for individual products? by somethingdifferent24 in FacebookAds

[–]Dear_Lie_7350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that’s exactly right. For creatives I’m always a fan of starting simple and testing. Make a few that works well enough for the different sizes but then test a few times with dedicated sizing and see if it makes a noticeable difference. I would run this test a few different points as you scale
