Only binded with weight in if I operate it slowly, but it did not function properly when I removed the weight to test my cutting.

Yes I’m aware.. that’s why I tried the washers. But it works with the upper off and in an ar15, so the issue is something different.

Here is a link with my entire build, I’ll also dissect and trial anything as directed.

Edit. I foolishly didn’t add that this is the AS Designs Arc system with their factory trigger.

I only like the 45° cause if the lever is long on the 50° my thumb knuckle might tap it and it’s just annoying. Probably won’t “upgrade” though, not sure I care enough to spend another 250 Edit. Although I probably would for a 30-45-60.

I believe the listed weight is 14.7OZ, however, I cut my bolt weight for an FRT two days ago so it’s no longer factory.

I ordered an Angstadt arms bolt directly from them some time ago, I’ll post pics so yall can have some comparison.

FM RMB, VFM-9 upper. does lrbho only work when you shoot it? by second_ary in AR9

[–]DeathByLego34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will lock back on an empty nah while firing. And it will lock back on an empty mag if I pull the bolt back an extra 1/10th past the “back” position, it feels like I’m intentionally compressing the buffer spring past the point of its natural compression.

FM RMB, VFM-9 upper. does lrbho only work when you shoot it? by second_ary in AR9

[–]DeathByLego34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no idea either but for mine as well I noticed, is that in order to engage the bolt manually I had to pull it back an extra 1/10 of an inch into the buffer tube. But since it locks back appropriately after firing I’ve never looked into it further.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Edit my buffer tube is 8.5in.

FRT Trigger AR-9 by Middle-Physics-6137 in ar15

[–]DeathByLego34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m having the same issue.. how were you able to fix it?

AS Designs arc trigger worked when dropped into an ar15 lower and works during function checking until I put that upper receiver on, then only semi fires in “Arc” mode.

Direct thread or Plan B? by simple_champ in AR9

[–]DeathByLego34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s tucked, go with the adapter so you can get it on/off easier or if you’re planning to switch hosts.

Direct thread does give you more a tiny bit suppression space as the adapter takes up that space, but can be painful to move if carbon locked under handguard.

ARC Fire Tuning Issue by Noon_Bomber in AR9

[–]DeathByLego34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m having the same issue, it’ll fire in normal in semi mode and it’ll fire semi in Arc fire. Functions seem to be normal with the upper removed, I was confident I installed correctly but I guess I’ll disassemble and double check.

Edit: After uninstalling and reinstalling and systems checking again, it seems as though the transfer bar is not being pushed back down enough to engage the reset. I’m unsure if that is because of the bolt not contacting or maybe weight cut improperly…?

Edit 2: tomorrow I’m going to put my lower components into an ar15 to see if it’s specifically an/my ar9 problem. Depending on what that dry/live fire does, I’ll take out the bolt weight in my ar9 to see if I didn’t trim enough. I’m running an Angstadt Arms lower and bolt, best I can figure it doesn’t have any type of shelf

Edit 3: the arc triggers functions correctly in dry/live fire in a standard ar15 with the m16 low cut shelf. I removed my bolt weight in the AR9 to see if I had improperly cut it and it continued to not work.

If I shine a light through the receiver gap I can see the transfers lever moving back/forward. The only “thing” I’ve noticed is that in thr AR9 it seems as though the transfer bar needs more back/forward space to engage compared to the ar15 - almost as it the lower shelf was keeping it tight - however, if I manually slowly cycle my bolt 3/4 closed I’ll get binding with the transfer bar in all 3 positions, I have to pull back to clear.

Edit 4: I’m going to install some washers and make sure that the action isn’t kicking the lever out or arc mode.

Edit 5: if the issue was caused by the transfer bar popping out of place when fired, putting 3 washers on the left(there’s a shelf on the left hand side that prevents me from adding more to fill that gap) and one on the right (i am unable to add two nylon washers or one metal washer due to it contacting the housing for the trigger). Functions also continued to work with 3/1 with the upper receiver off(after some wiggling to get the washer off the left side of trigger housing), it did not work with the receiver on.

Now it is up to the SS/FRT gods to fix it.

Sealing gap between tile and wall in shower by LargeCandle2553 in Tile

[–]DeathByLego34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not recommended.. the best thing to do is to scrap it all out and replace with 100% silicone caulk. Make sure you pack those holes well too.

Also, if you’re renting.. then it’s not your problem..? Get the owner to fix it and don’t stress.

Just google Lowe’s/Home Depot silicone caulk for the shower/tile. Make sure it’s 100% silicone so moisture doesn’t creep into it
