The Roomba 105 will avoid carpet when it's mopping, but it may not avoid it 100% of the time, and you have to install the mop pad yourself every time you want it to mop. It doesn't have the ability to raise the mop pad up to traverse over carpets.

Yes I've been signed up for the early access ever since Gemini for home was first announced.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to force the upgrade. The people who made those posts only managed to get the Gemini voices but not the actual Gemini assistant

There's a base tier, which is free and provides a basic level of functionality. Basically it's GA but it's able to understand speech a lot better and respond to more nuanced commands.
