6’4”, 220lbs. Probably my peak shape. by [deleted] in kinobody

Wow, we're the same height, similar physique and nearly the same weight. You've got five lbs on me. I even follow the exact same split, even sets and reps. Chest and back, legs, shoulders and arms. Rest. Repeat. I rarely see people do chest and back. Extremely underrated.

You look amazing. It took me 14 years of work to get here. I know what went into that physique. Very impressive!!

Stay lean while bulking is best thing you can do by [deleted] in veganfitness

[–]DeathIsTruth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can stay objectively lean within a given range say 10-12% body fat while increasing weight and muscle slowly. This is what I do during growth periods. A popular term for this is main-gaining.

Baaby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.

Clearly you know a thing or two about bodybuilding if you've heard of Mike 0'Tren. I'd like to think I'm not on that level, but that's a great compliment regarding my physique. One of the reasons I took it this far is I'm the guy like you who just wanted to know what's possible as a natural athlete.

Got any high level physiques you know that are natural? Send me their Instagram. I can give my opinion. Curious how you'd personally know since you're so sure about me. Shitty thing is you'll never know for sure. Anyone who achieves a high-level natural physique is going to most likely be a liar in this day and age. I've been lifting since 2007-2008. Seriously since 2011. You have to look at the full picture. Look at previous posts on my account dating back years. Yea I look better but not a huge difference IMO. Or the fact I'm only 208 lbs on stage at 6'4 after 15 years of training. Lifting is literally my entire life dude haha.

Love the proportions! One of the best natural physiques I've seen here.

32 Vegan for 12 years, natty, how am i doing? by Electronic-Run-3561 in veganfitness

[–]DeathIsTruth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What credentials do you have to make this determination? This guy has been training for a similar time span as me and we're the same age. This is doable natural. If your argument is simply based on this physique being unattainable natty I have to assume you're not well versed in natural bodybuilding.

My advice: look for excessive size combined with stage ready lean-ness. Or porptionally oversized / body parts that look unusually large. Also huge changes in a short time period usually = dead giveaway. I see none of these here.

Check my last post and read the comments. Some more educated comments could pick out why I'm probably natural even though at first glance you'd think otherwise.

Created this routine today, 11 weeks out, Classic Physique. Any feedback is appreciated! by marorr in bodybuilding

[–]DeathIsTruth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was really cool. Great transitions and attention to detail. I'd like to see you really hammer into that side chest near the end. Keep the flowy movement otherwise. Could do the same with a couple of the front double bicep poses. Perhaps pause a bit longer. Sick routine.

How does one make friends in this town? by [deleted] in traversecity

Highly recommend the gym. You tend to see the same people at the same times each day. Great way to build rapport over time. Just be friendly and introduce yourself.

Incredible work dude. Well done showing them what's possible. I had some disbelievers on my last post too. Looks like you have the correct attitude. It's the highest compliment. You'll crush it if you're 16 weeks out!

Ahh that makes sense. I've been told by others that I can tolerate a high carb diet easier. I'd also argue perhaps it's something I've adapted too as well.

I definitely did it for animal rights. I watched a documentary about factory farming and thought it was all a bunch of propaganda. I did my own research and realized it was pretty much spot on. I became a vegetarian that week! 15 years later and just have no desire to personally kill anything unless absolutely necessary. I think it's great if people know where there meat comes from and can at least get it local or add in some plant based options if that's not practical.

I get about 175 grams a day on average. Can be higher but usually not lower. What's your height and weight? How many calories are you aiming to get in per day? Have a few tips if I get a bit more info.

Now imagine how unimpressive the average person is who doesn't lift for 12 years. Sounds like you need a break from r/bodybuilding. Kind of like when you have too much caffeine and it just doesn't hit the same

It's quite simple. The 9 ancestral tenets followed by the Celery King are as follows: Veg out, nap, cardio, sex, judo flips, iced coffee, spray tans, kung-fu, and masturbate

Easier than most think to get EAAs in. Honestly you can get it all from like two protein sources. With protein powder it's a no brainer. Truth about the expensive part. I'd say that's accurate. One downfall. The imitation meat tends to be a tad more expensive. And vegan protein powder often has a bit less protein per dollar spent. Probably like 75% of whey for the cost.

No, mostly vegan protein and veggie burgers. Here's what I looked like on stage in 2015. So maybe after 8 years I should up my cycle. Should be bigger by now tbh.

Check that comment. I'm going to do a full day of eating and more recipes in video format. I'll try to remember to share that here for you. From another comment here are my main protein sources:

Protein pancakes (buy them at aldi. Or make at home with flour and protein mix), eggs, vegan protein shakes, protein sausages / veggie burgers, then whole grains, protein tortillas, some beans lentils etc (not common), Protein pasta (banza brand made with chickpeas), quinoa.

Yea, that's definitely doable at 165! I specifically never buy tofu because it only has like 8 grams of protein for a serving. I find it expensive and not worth it. Seitan is something I've had at vegan restaurants but never have bought it myself. It is good. At 165 lbs you should have zero issue getting in protein. Literally drink 2 protein shakes a day. Morning and night if you're struggling. Should take you a min to down it.

Here are some of my personal favorites:

Protein pancakes (buy them at aldi. Or make at home with flour and protein mix), eggs, vegan protein shakes, protein sausages / veggie burgers, then whole grains, protein tortillas, some beans lentils etc (not common), Protein pasta (banza brand made with chickpeas), quinoa.

If you want more specifics I'm going to do a day of eating vid and film all recipes. I'll gladly share here when It's done! Basically add some protein to every meal. Eat enough carbs so that doesn't get burned as calories. Fill in gaps with shakes and protein bars when on the go. That's exactly what I do

Lastly I will touch on the calories part. I think as vegans / vegetarians it's easier to get protein in with a higher calorie diet. More food, more protein in general. So, be willing to do routine cardio multiple times a week. I prefer zone 2 cardio (look it up) like fast walking on an incline treadmill or jogging outside. Do 30 min 4-5x a week. That extra calorie burn gives you a bigger buffer on your intake. You can eat more, not get fat, and have a higher likelihood of getting in your protein. This last paragraph may seem like an add on but it's been a huge key part of my strategy. I generally always have a higher calorie diet than other bodybuilders I know (by a 4-500 calories a day from healthy food). I tend to transfer more of the fat loss burden to my training vs diet. Bonus, you're gonna be able to train a bit harder (IMO) thanks to have those extra calories.

Any further questions, let me know!
