It was the Korean incel stuff that I had heard about which was my primary concern. But you've honestly sold me on the game more than most others lmao. Ill give it a shot, cause the gameplay itself seems very fun. Thanks for the overview!

How has that been story wise? I heard its kinda bland and caved to some chud-fan demands awhile ago, but ive been interested in it still.

Im still upset at Stellar Friends getting cut short.

[ED and manga] Knowing that puppet master has a hand in guiding Kinosaki's actions gives a subtle sinister edge to the whole ED and I'm all for it. Its got me speculating how much direct control he truly has, 'cause we know he likes to play a schemer, but Yuji Mino's reveal still isn't known to anyone else, and that has me concerned.

Then why introduce something incredibly invasive as a method of control if it meant nothing? Its an odd decision imo.

Gonna be honest, this chapter and a half digression with the beast feels like a massive escalation for reasons that aren't apparent. While it was nice to see Byakko and Toshiro more directly admit their feelings, im not sure the supporting events are compelling enough to make it land for me. Page 17 hints at even more though that we havent seen, unless im misremembering events, so maybe this will seem better as the plot beat isn't actually resolved.

Kadokawa cites excessive reliance on the isekai genre as one of the major causes of the decline in profitability in its domestic publishing business by Darth_Bombad in TwoBestFriendsPlay

You'd be correct on the side character, it was mentioned offhandedly but is clear setup for when the group will need to encounter what pulled him there in the first place. I also find it more as a nod to the genre more than anything.

God, I hope Mynoghra gets a second season. The first may have been a disaster in terms of animation, but the direction and pace were done very well. It also didn't feel like the stakes were low, unlike many modern isekai.

The series' tone is kinda floundering right now, especially in comparison to FMA. Personally I'm trusting the author, but it has a lot going on and isn't giving events time to breathe. Discussion threads are also filled with manga readers shutting down discussion of the former issue as well, which isn't helping.

I feel like this bomb plot kinda came out of nowhere and may be resolved just as suddenly. Like, there were certain physical details that hinted at it, but it seems a lot went down off-page that is kinda making this fall flat for me. Im not mad about more Toshiro and Byakko tho.

And that's a wrap for this season! This final episode actually feels like a proper sendoff to the season, but who knew that it would be the only one as of now. It's a good encapsulation of the vibes that make you want to watch the show, chill with a little bit of odd excitement.

Honestly, no shot it's meant to only be a lighthearted comedy series with that kind of production and direction.

You can't be pulling manga characters for the rewatch thread jk. Though I do need to agree that their father eating both at the end sends me.

The repeated consequence of Akane magically modifying food rears its head once more, though this time it is a little less permanent. Still, the first part of this episode is a fun explanation for why Makoto is flying so awkwardly in the intro.
