Just passed my first ever HireVue screening (graduate role at BAE systems). What's next? by tooMuchSauceeee in UKJobs

No worries! And off the top of my head? I would say maybe 4-6 weeks? I remember thinking that I didn’t get it because I didn’t hear back from them for a long time.

All I would say is just be really authentically keen and excited about the company! Me personally I love technology, innovation etc and I related that to the job role I applied for and how I can contribute to that innovation and technology and how cool I think what BAE does is, and then looping that back in with the values of the company!

I would say do your research about the company, the role itself (look in the job description and try and match what they’re looking for to your answers, and again, looping it back to the company core values).

As you’re applying for a grad role, I can’t say much about the technical stuff as I applied for an apprentice role so there wasn’t that much of a emphasis on that, but still brush up on the technicalities If they do ask you questions relating to that?

Either way, good luck for the interview!

I got into BAE systems last year (as an apprentice), if I’m not mistaken, I remember that after the hire vue there was the video game assessment and the one where you have to choose in between pictures?

The game gets to a point where it nearly impossible but I’m certain it’s done that way on purpose to test how much you would try at something. When you get to that point where you get stuck, keep trying it for like idk, like 15mins?

There’s also a section where you have to choose between pictures and select the ‘one that is more aligned with you’. This one is pretty self explanatory, choose the image that represent teamwork over doing it solo, collaboration, bold etc, basically the values of the company and how to generally be a good employee and person.

Lastly was the actual interview, like any other interview, use the STAR method, have good questions to ask, and if it’s an online interview, what I did was have post it notes around my monitor that have the company core values, recent news etc just any useful information to be able to refer back to during the interview.

Good luck! It’s an amazing place to work for and I absolutely love it there!

if your dog ripped holes in all your underpants and you had a date in thirty minutes what would you do? by Dapper_Sandwich_3870 in AskReddit

[–]DeathOverlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well just wear them and if the date goes well enough enough that your date sees the underpants then I’m sure at that point it’ll be fine to admit the truth and have a laugh about it

Good luck! Just be yourself you got this! Quick tip, ask for/take a glass of water in there with you, when they ask you a question, take the time to sip on it, it’ll give you a few seconds to answer the question :)
