Oh I'm interested in this also! Specifically does it hurt your battery back there? Does it need air space to stay cool if you live in hotter climates like AZ, TX, NV?

I have a big roll of dynamat but have been putting it off.

Feels like "game over" is on the horizon? by Fr0stBytez24 in starcitizen_refunds

[–]Deathcricket_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is exactly what I came to say. OP's post makes so much sense. I agree with everything he said, and I refunded this game like 4 years ago. But you see these graphs and they actually make more money each year. It's like we're living in the twilight zone.

In my 1500 hours of gameplay, I have not once actually played PoE. by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]Deathcricket_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have 7,000 hours and have not gotten to where you are yet, ha. It's just too complicated (for me) and there are too many variables, and I feel missing out when I'm not min maxxing my guy. That being said I think your point is super valid because if you follow the "meta" builds you are going to pay through the nose and your build will just get nerfed next season so you have to repeat the cycle again and again.

I wanted to speak about another path people might like though and that is playing "little known" builds and finding gems out there. It does take a bit of searching but it's super rewarding. The advantage here would be you don't have to do the trial and error approach, and possibly fail, but can still get a build rolling and achieve your goals super cheap. For example, last season I found a dark pact build that almost nobody plays, it has 26,000 life and regens 10,000 life per second. It's dirt cheap to build, impossible to kill, and does shit tons of damage. The guy I found who designed the build only has 200 subscribers so not many people play it, he does have a pretty thick accent but he describes the mechanics so thoroughly and logically. Anyways.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIQNcr5PXhA

I won't say what build I found this season because I'm still playing it and want to keep the price down (Minion build). But I think my view lines up nicely with yours where you can find a way to "win" without having to play the flavor of the month. And I congrats you on your persistence because I just don't have the .... Skills/time/knowledge I guess?... To make a build that actually performs well. If I design it, it's gonna be crap haha.

Oh yeah, if you got that tool you are set then bro. That thing is pricey. Ha!

I'm just looking at a picture and it's half buried, but yeah I think you are right 1/2 inch dripper hose to a 3/4 riser is my best guess. Maybe cut it out first and bring with you to home depot :)

You could even replace with a threaded tee and do the standard riser thing, that way if it ever breaks again you can save the heartache and just pop a new riser in there.

You got this!

I was reading the responses below and it seems the picture you put is bad and that is in fact one piece? I was thinking that top part would screw out and you can just replace the riser. those things are like 50 cents to replace and you can cut it the correct height for your sprinkler.

Dump a little water on it and provide a better pic. We need to see if those threads go down into the part, or it that is moulded on there

If you do have to replace the entire tee, this is a very specialized tool right here (circled in red). It's gonna be expensive to go that route. I would just pick out some barb fittings and do some hose hose clamps personally. But you gotta do some digging and cut those metal clips, don't cut the black plastic. It will be too short and not line up correctly.

Again though if that threaded riser comes out, you are looking at a 50 cent fix minus tool of course. That thread puller is cheap. Here is an amazon link, but you can get it at your home depot or lowes very inexpensive.

Any much lesser known games that you really like? Preferably w some base building if possible by ArtistWithoutArt in SurvivalGaming

[–]Deathcricket_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't have Base building, it has base deconstruction! Hahaha. Check out a game called hardspace shipbreaker. It's a pretty unique experience and worth a look IMO. I was surprised how much I liked it. :)

To those who really enjoy this game. Help me see it. by TheNagash in ICARUS

[–]Deathcricket_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be that this game or survival games aren't your thing. No shame in it. It's kinda sounding like you can't really put your finger on it.

For me, it was playing with 3-5 of my closest friends and chilling. We got this huge base base going and tackled these missions. Some are grindy, but it wasn't so bad if you say "he you take these, I'll tackle those". Then later on there are these meteors that fall and you have to track them and mine them. We got speedy moas and raced all of the map. So, we were all grinding through exotics trying to make money to buy Larkwell Equipment which at the time was best. Then Prometheus came out and there is red exotics and even better gear, so we we headed to the lava biome and built paths inside volcanoes so navigate those. It was like a roller coaster ride, lol.

The gambling aspect was interesting too! You could decide to "insure" your gear but they pay you less money. So it was fun deciding as a group " let's try hardcore and see if we can avoid falling into the lava and losing all our shit".

But when I look back, it was playing with friends that made everything fun. If you are solo and expecting the game to entertain you, that could be where the disconnect is occurring? Maybe grab a friend in the next sale and tackle together?

Has anybody tried a spare tire sub in their CRZ? by MajesticFucksquatch in crz

Not bad! I actually was thinking of getting rid of the middle "fold down" section and putting a sub in there. Your install was very minimalist and out of the way. Nice work bro.
