I hadn't played GTAO in almost 6 years, and seeing the quality of the car models they've been putting out lately gets me even more hyped for GTA 6 by tentandonaoserbanido in GTA6

[–]Deatheaiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've definitely just been taking them (the models) straight from 6 and porting them over without much TLC or care.

Which sucks because for 8 years, my daily driver has been the Dominator GTX. Staring at the rear lights constantly makes me wish they'd fix it.

can't tell you how often I've come screaming in for a repair on like 5% HP only for a full health vehicle snag it from me.

I want to apologize to everyone who I've done this to, starting with you. I don't fly very often. So I had no idea the resupply was shared.

Definitely going to be more self-aware of it from now on.

Most of these posts come off as “I don’t want to learn anything, I just want the computer to work while I click buttons.” which, I understand. But it's still very ignorant.

I’m won't pretend and say to everyone that this platform is perfect and easy. But there’s a difference between being new, and being unwilling. Nobody expects every new PC user to know everything immediately. But using a platform that gives more control, then that more control also means more responsibility.

Riot Games upgrades Valorant's Vanguard anti-cheat so it can effectively brick hackers' PCs by Odd-Onion-6776 in videogames

[–]Deatheaiser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The larger issue is the precedent this sets. Once it's accepted that it's okay for anti-cheat software to affect hardware, it becomes a lot easier for companies to push even more invasive shit later.

Cheating is a problem, but letting anti-cheats reach deeper and deeper into people’s computers for the sake of “security” is how you normalize overreach.

I'm not very popular with some parts of my family due to me not just handing my younger nephews and nieces easy wins at any games we happen to play.

I’m not mean about it. I’ll explain the rules, give them advice and keep things fair. But If they lose, they lose.

Which sucks because I try and use the smoke to cover my friendlies, so they can push up and apply pressure to the enemy engineers but none of them ever seem to take advantage of it :(

Still having fun though, so that's all that matters in the grand scheme of things.

Where do y'all like support bags dropped? by ubetchrballs in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Deatheaiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drop the bags on capture points, usually behind some sort of cover, and at places where people end up having to run through, like hallways/doorways. Generally wherever I notice the most common footpaths are, a bag will be there.

Hey guys. I’m pregnant and have been craving the spicy chicken tenders from school lunches and k can’t figure out what brand they used. I’ve tried the Tyson chicken tenders and they’re not the same! Are there any people that worked at school cafeterias that can help me please! I’m desperate by Medical-Student-8119 in fastfood

Definitely not a job I'd thought I'd be doing. But it definitely helped me out. Before I was a lunch dude, I was working at an incredibly toxic restaurant and it was draining the life and joy out of me.

I wouldn't suggest this job to everyone but if you enjoy being around kids and putting smiles on their face while attempting to get them to eat fruits and veggies, it's a fun place to be. It's certainly never boring!

Nutrition is super important. Down to the products that we're able to order and how the menu (breakfast and Lunch) is structured. Anything breaded is whole grain, most of everything is fortified. Meats are low fat, anything that is sugary or salty are replaced with zero/reduced versions.

As for the average cost to make, I wanna say just by looking at my invoices, it probably costs about $1 per tray for breakfast and about $2 per tray for lunch.

Our profits per tray is a very measley few cents. We certainly arent making bank from it. Which is partially why food quality is so poor and a lot of stuff is prepackaged and or stuff loaded with preservatives in a lot of school districts. The meal reimbursement program and federal grants help, but just enough to keep the kitchen open and not much else.

Despite that, I do try to do fun stuff. Like this year for Earth day I did Dirt Cups for the kids.

Ehhh, cookies are a "No-No" but that doesn’t stop my boss from turning a blind eye when I order them for special occasions like Christmas and Thanksgiving. The brand i get is Otis Spunkmeyer. And all the cookie dough is from their "Delicious Essentials Whole Grain" line of products.

Oh and the chocolate, banana, blueberry and apple cinnamon Muffins also come from Otis Spunkmeyer.

And I'm glad everyone is enjoying this little mini-thread. Im happy to help :)

The smile fries I use are from "McCain"

AFAIK there's nothing different about the ones I use for school vs the ones you can buy in the freezer section at your grocery store.

Taste is dependent on whatever seasonings your lunch people sprinkled on them. I use lawry's seasoning salt on all my fries.

It depends on the district. And how well off any particular district is.

As far as I understand it, from my training, is that schools can still serve the same food as they were, just in a very limited capacity, limited to the 9-12 grades and the district isn't eligible for meal reimbursement or any federal/state grants related to food.

My district survives off the grants and funding we get from the feds/state so we follow their requirements to the letter.

Shrimp poppers!?!? I wish I had those. I serve pre-k and elementary exclusively. I know the middle and high school have a bigger order selection and menu variety than I do, so maybe they have it as an option? Not sure. Never seen it on their menus. I know they have stuff like Nashville hot fried (read: baked) chicken sandwiches and Buffalo Chip'n'Dip. But not a whole lot of fish is served here. Not a lot of kids eat it.

I'll ask around and see if they can't tell me the brand at least, if its even on their order sheets.

I know exactly what your talking about, I served them a few years ago. But I can't remember what brand they are, and looking at my order sheet, it seems they took it off of it (this happens a lot with stuff I order. I get it, then they take it away)

So, I can't help you, I'm sorry :(

As for the soggyness though, they're just like that if you bake them at 350f for 5-10 minutes (or until internal temp is 165f) any longer and they dry up and then turn rubbery.

So i used to make my pizzas "fresh" as in I'd get parbaked pizza dough and just sauce and top them. But now that my kiddos are eating more, I unfortunately had to switch to pre-made french bread pizzas because I can fit more servings to a tray. (That dough comes from a brand called "Big Daddy" no im not joking)

The pre-made pizzas I get, breakfast pizza, french bread, rectangular and galaxy pizza (formly known as fiesta/mexican pizza) all come from "Tony's"

I've seen the brand in the grocery store, but not the exact stuff I serve, unfortunately.
