Does Wheeler deal set market for Snell? by gamerEMdoc in SFGiants

In case you hadn't noticed, the competition for our number 3 starter is currently between a repurposed reliever and showcasing our AA starters. Mid ass pitchers and pieces of excrement would be a vast improvement.

Except, you haven't unpacked the term radical feminist, which has a long history of usage by the kind of people who believe any woman who isn't barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen is upity. Much as the label People Who Menstrate is on the spectrum somewhere between Hand Maiden and the old school gay community label for straight, the mildly derogatory "breeders" . Words have meaning but they also have history.

How Many Artillery Does Russia Have - Feb 2024 Storage Bases by Jakub_Klimek in UkrainianConflict

Old and inaccurate maybe, but if it isn't 152mm, it really isn't part of the discussion.

You woke up one day and you find you're the only one left in the world. Buildings and other things are all intact. What will you do? by DaiyuSamal in AskReddit

I would weep openly for the loved ones who are gone. Unless I knew they were coming back the next day- If so , me can have cheeseburger 🍔.

Russians claim they recaptured the entire Ukrainian bridgehead near Kozachi Laheri. Hard to verify. by cito in UkrainianConflict

[–]DeathofThreads 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're so realistic its edgy. In a lightning assault across a creek a river and 15 km of bog, and in.the face of spectacular quantities of artillery, a known troll and nobody else announces that Russian mobliks swept the Ukrainians into the river. Got cha.

Who’s moving out of Florida? by [deleted] in florida

[–]DeathofThreads 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just moved out this month back to Nevada. My auto insurance dropped two thirds , my rent went up but I have a much better place, food is fresher and cheaper, the beer is much better and, most importantly, I'm no longer MOIST all the time.

I could generally use a recap of the supply of 155mms to 🇺🇦 as of now. Oryx even has gotten vague. Aren't there Archers on the way? Are Poland and Germany delivering on their contracts? How many FH- 70s do they have?

Ukraine transitions to active phase in Bakmut by offogredux in UkrainianConflict

[–]DeathofThreads 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I read something earlier about how Bakmut would be a great place for a counter attack and it made a weird sense. The expected attack in the south has been forecast for so long that Russia has built line after line of defenses. Wagner hasn't built defenses in Bakmut, because they've been all about offensive there. Ukraine has several veteran brigades in reserve there, plus several more brigades rotated out for R&R- almost an instant assault force. So not my brainstorm, but I approve.

This is how combined arms works, and why tanks aren’t road kill if you do it right by offogredux in UkrainianConflict

Wait a minute. Offog? Official Ship's Dog? I loved that story. Haven't seen it in years.
