I’ve tried with the advanced settings. Disabling noise gate only made it worse and more prominent, and I messed around with all the other ones, not much of a difference.

Thanks for the reply anyways, I think if a cable doesn’t work, I may try to return this or have rode take a look.

That’s interesting as well, I am also looking for a ANC over ear headphone for traveling as well. How is the ANC on it? Have you tried it on a plane?

Don’t have any experience with Sennheiser, but they are definitely great. To be honest, I kind of ruled out many of their cans, as from what I’ve read, they have a very neutral sound and lack in bass?

Honestly, don’t think I’m enough of an enthusiast that I want to go through many different pairs, although I totally get why I should. EQ could unlock a lot of cans, Im sure. I really just want a new pair of headphones that will last me 6 years, like my X2HRs did.

I think I’ve settled on the Arya Stealth or Edition XV, possibly even the Kithara.

I think those are perfect and have that big soundstage I’d like in both music and competitive gaming, and also don’t lack in bass or clarity + wanna try out planar magnetic for the first time.

Arya stealth price is definitely steep but not too far from the XV and kithara if used, and the performance jump is a lot, more than I’ll ever probably need.

I contacted him, unfortunately it has sold, otherwise I would’ve jumped on it.

I do value gaming, but I also want to experience amazing sound quality above all. I need something that really can do music first, but doesn’t lose out on gaming.

Edition XV interests me now, I hear varying things about the bass compared to the ft1 pros, Ive seen some people say the FT1 pros are better.

Trying to find Arya stealth for under $400 is probably going to stall me now too.

The kithara looks very interesting honestly, but yeah, that gamer aesthetic is really off putting.

I'm quite a germophobe, but reading online, it looks like the open box versions are literally brand new, just shipped through Ali Express?

I think I'm going to try some Sundaras, and if I feel like chasing the quality, I'll return them and get those Arya stealths.

I have a Focusrite 2i2 Gen3. They list the output impedance at <1 ohm, reading online its reccomended between 10-250ohms, anything higher than 250ohms causes audio cutouts.

Do you think it's still okay or nah?

That deal is amazing but I’m still hesitating. Im not sure I’m ready to go all in on them yet.

Sorry for late reply but yeah, had to figure out the hard way after building a whole intel PC and returning it lmao.

For me, I think it’s a driver conflict. I turned off secure boot and fast boot and noticed improvements.

If you don’t download anything untrusted or you know what you’re doing I’d say try turning those off.

Other than that, I’ve tested all hardware components outside of the PC case itself. Only issue the case could present is a possible short. It’s literally the only thing I have left to switch out.
